"Nicely situated just north of Aviemore, there is a small village shop/Post Office not far away in Deshar Road, but if you need a large shop of groceries then Aviemore is only minutes away. The accommodation is very good with a double bedroom with en suite and a dressing area and a second twin bedroom opposite the family bathroom. There is a HD satellite tv in the living area with a supply of dvds to watch. The owner kindly allows the use of their own pedal cycles, which were perfect for a ride...

"You can tell that the rooms have been updated. It is an older Hotel, but very clean. There is ample parking and the morning breakfast was delicious!!"

"The perfect spot for a cozy/ comfy mountain weekend. The tiny house was perfectly equipped with all the essentials and packed with perks. The space surrounding the tiny house is beautifully maintained and well presented. We enjoyed all the outdoor spaces just as much as we enjoyed all the inside space. Thanks for having us, this tiny home has left a huge impact!"

Beautiful, Modern Straw Bale House

"My daughters & I stayed 3 nights at Strawbale to celebrate my daughter's 50th birthday. When we stepped through the foyer into the home we were greeted by the best vibe & the house smelled gorgeous! There was so much to take in. The decor is interesting & lovely. The kitchen is huge & incredibly well stocked. Beds comfy & the house stayed a nice even temp day & night. It was mid 80's when we were there. Once outside, you can see all the effort that has gone into all the different areas where you can sit & take in the beautiful views. We saw turkey, a family of deer & a curious little fox each day we were there. Lisa's communication was by far the best I've ever experienced with a host. She was extremely helpful & obviously cares a great deal about her guests experience. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay & look forward to returning, hopefully in the spring. Thank you Lisa & Brendan for a memorable stay."
