The hospitality was unique and we got a lot of recommendations for fantastic walks in Valtellina's vineyards, restaurants, etc. The breakfast, cleaning and the service we experienced was extraordinary. "We were traveling with elderly parents and had a one night stop in Tirano. The hotel was conveniently located very close to the train station. Very helpful when you have to drag lot of luggage on cobblestone paths. The staff was kind and helpful with all that we needed (directions, recommendations, etc.) The sister restaurant (just done the block) was lovely and the food was good! Note - If you want to take advantage of the prix fix menu as a hotel guest, you need to pre-pay at the hotel."

"Super beautiful romantic hotel. They upgraded our room just because no one was using the superior room, super beautiful bathroom and nice bed, beautiful restaurant and mountain views. I will advise that the town is pretty dead during the time we were there (start of may) with nothing open. If you are looking for a calm day to relax after a hike , it's a great place, but there is not much to do other than hike and there is no food other than the hotel."
