"Stayed at this property a week before this last stay, gave that stay a 4, this one not so much. It really boils down to your initial interaction with the property. My first visit, the clerk was friendly and courteous, this clerk was lack luster, not friendly and made us feel like we were bothering him by checking in. I get it, he may have been having a bad night, tired, in pain, family issues, I get it but any little issue I may have overlooked is now magnified in my head. So the tub looked dirty, I bring my own clorox wipes and didn't want to "bother" the clerk, it wasn't dirty but rusted or old, there was a hole in the bathroom door, again something I could live with but stay was not a pleasant experience."

"The person who checked me in was very nice and helpful. the person who checked me out not so much. The room was swept and clean. The beds were made. the sheets were clean, but I don't know they had been changed. The covers had an odor to them from the middle down to the foot or at least the top cover did. Again, not sure they were changed so I sprayed Lysol on the beds. The shampoo & conditioner and lotion were like I had never seen, very stylish but empty. All towels & washcloths and hand towels were clean and a plenty. We had a long trip, and still had more travel so I didn't bother to call the front desk."

"First let me say that the Weathervane Inn should be labeled “luxurious”! My room did in fact have a clean working jetted tub and the bathroom shower had two shower heads! The room was spotlessly clean, well stocked, and exactly like shown online. My balcony opened up to a marina with a beautiful view. The staff were kind, happy and accommodating. The coffee and hot water were available all day and evening and warm cookies around 5. My little dog was welcomed and even offered a treat at check-in. The towels were large, fluffy and abundant and my bed was perfectly comfortable. The Inn itself is conveniently located near biking/walking trails around the town and beyond. I loved staying here and highly recommend it for a quiet, peaceful, convenient stay. Thank you Weathervane Inn and staff!!"

"This was my second stay. This was the worst of the two experiences. Second time here where there were zero eggs at breakfast again. Carpeting/floors in the room were sticky and damp. Phone was broken so had to call from my cell phone after my battery died so I allegedly missed the 9am cutoff to ask for a later checkout. I was told that housekeeping, "had to get in there right away". Maybe because there was used soap and hair in the shower right when we arrived ( I have pics) so we didn't bother using the shower. I used points/dollars towards this stay and felt that it was wasted on an overall disappointing experience. This will be the last time this establishment gets my money. I would rate this zero stars or below if I could."

"Very clean; property description & photos are very accurate. Two minor suggestions for improvement:1. Better exterior markings of property- we got in after dark, the only visible house number was on the mailbox and it didn’t stand out. Also, it didn’t help that the house numbers in that area are not sequential. 2. While it was definitely not an issue, I feel that we should have been made aware that someone lives in the basement of the property. This should have been disclosed prior to our booking & payment. This person & I am sure her dog are lovely, just should not have been a surprise. "
