Comfortable stay, friendly staff

We used this hotel for an overnight because it is close to Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp. NO BREAKFAST IS PROVIDED. However, there are lots of amenities near by. The area is beautiful with a trail around the lake. The hotel has friendly personal, clean rooms, updated linens, but is dated. Overall I would definitely stay here again.

Do not suggest using this hotel, pay more and stay across the street at Comfort Inn. Poorly taken care of inside and out. Broken and dirty rooms. Pictures on website do not compare to actual experience. Horrible hotel experience. Have had hotel room stays in low income Mexico that were not that bad. We were too afraid of what was on the unclean floors that we didnt allow our kids to walk around inside the room. Stench of smoke, broken cabinets, no elevator for ADA accessibility, loose electrical plugs, non working light switches, etc. Property unkept and to dangerous to even trek to the pool(trash, rocks, sidewalks, dilapidated).

a easy going stay

my family and i had a 2 night stay at this location and it was a good experience overall. we were welcomed when we checked in at the front desk and were given the general info of where our room was and wifi password. our room was neat and clean and kept sound out of the room as well. this location is convient for attractions and sight seeing! the location does not serve breakfast like hotel.com lists.

I rented a room at this hotel because it was near Michigan's Adventure, next door to a walmart, not far from any restaurants, and the price wasn't terrible. As soon as you walk in, you are hit with an overwhelming chemical smell that you can tell is being used in an attempt to cover up the musty/mold smell. The further in you get, the worse off it gets! This place has not not been kept up on. The walls and floors are filthy in the hallways and stairways. I didn't feel any better when I walked into my room. Everything was covered in dust, the toilet wasn't clean, mold in the shower walls, ripped/stained furniture, broken blinds, disgusting curtains that havent been washed in years, and super uncomfortable beds. No breakfast is served here and the coffee is so horrible. The steps leading to the outdoor pool are broken along every edge being very sharp and dangerous. One of our family members cut his leg going down them. The outdoor pool was so gross I wouldnt even dunk a toe! The 3 staff members that I met were friendly and that is about the only thing this place has going for it. I can't imagine they are proud or happy to be working there. There is clearly a lack of management here, if any at all. Needs to be reported.

Key cards rarely worked on our door but worked fine at back door. Stayed here many times before and they had a bare bones breakfast but nothing at all now. Your site advertised the pet fee at $25/night, they charged me $35- said it wasn’t their problem. Won’t be back.
