"We left a day early even though we had paid 2 nights. Was not aware that there was no dedicated restaurant only “fast food” and that the hotel was in an industrial/commercial area with no dedicated bar. It was full of drunk people and the host at the Yuzu Burger bar was rude. The shop area was lovely and the reception staff were polite. We had a suite, but was very basic with wallpaper peeling off the walls. It was freezing cold for hours until we realised that no heating had been put on for our stay and we had to do that ourselves. I think your advertising for this hotel is misleading and am requesting a full refund as really hated it and was in tears. I did not want to complain to reception as they were polite. For the record i have travelled extensively in Iceland and this was the worst hotel i have stayed in. "

"Beautiful room, clean and heated and lit well. Only complaint would be the bathroom / shower, where there was a leak and also motion-sensored so the lights turned off after only 2 minutes. "

"The owner of the property is very nice. We didn’t expect that we would get free waffles in the morning. She also gave us many advices to explore the surrounding area. We learned a lot about the culture, the society and the folks of Iceland through the communication with her."

"Charming hotel with warm staff, great food and lovely views. We were so happy to see the northern lights after a fun day exploring the sights. The staff goes out of the way to make you feel welcome. We loved sipping cocktails in the warm pool and watching the stars. Amazing. "

"Great location to stop if you are heading south. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was clean and modern. Breakfast was an added bonus and was pretty good."
