"Wonderful location in the hills outside Bologna. Fantastic thermal spa pools. Nice food and great staff (reception speak english). The room was basic and definitely overpriced. 2 stars at best Euro 65 per night should be the price, in my experienced opinion. Noisy and drafty accommodation. Conversations in the corridors and stairwells echoed around the whole building. Smokers' cigarette smoke somehow drifted into my room. WiFi was non-existent. In summary, bad hotel for business travellers....

"This hotel was absolutely perfect. Our room was spacious and plenty of space and beds for 4 adults and a baby. Great location to see the glass mosaics and Dante’s burial place. The breakfast is handmade pasties! By a real pastry chef just down the street at Casa di Paoia. Sister property. Also b&b. Coffee and tea were right outside our room. The artwork on the walls was an extra treat. If you don’t stay here, you are missing out."

"Early check in was kindly facilitated and greatly appreciated. The room had some maintenance and design issues that detracted from our stay. First the control for the sink plunger was missing, allowing water to fill (and damage) the cabinet and floor. Second, the AC unit worked but there was no fan or any way to move the air making the floor cold and above the knees sweltering hot. I could not sleep and finally just put my face in the ice cold (slightly moldy) AC to get sleep. Finally, the restaurant downstairs had genuinely good food but prices were very high and ironically, it was very anti-tourist. We had a good time, but … Service took a total of three hours, which is the custom, but for families with tired children it is hard. As they say, if you want fast go get a Kebab."
