The staff was great; they were extremely helpful and friendly. Our room was really large and comfortable; breakfast was also really fresh and delicious. We really enjoyed our stay and looking forward to our next time we stay at the Mercure Sofia!

Smoking is allowed in the restaurant. When we made a remark about it to a member of the staff, their response was along the lines of "It's up to the manager to fix this, I can't do anything about it"

TERRIBLE RECEPTION WORST EVER

At check in, Q: Can I park there on street in front of your hetel? A: I don't know. Asked again, still I don't know. Q: Can we have a double bed? A: No. We are fully booked. (fair enough) Q: Can we have two keycards instead of one as we have two people. A: No. We don't have spare keycards. Then I said why I got NO on every single question I asked? You have 9.6 review points in hotels.com. The answer was "you can report to the website put your comments there". So now here it is. We have been using hotels.com for more than10years booked 500+ hotels and a Gold member for some years. We have never had this kind of experience in any hotel before. This terrible experience made my stay in Sofia very unpleasant. Bad impression on Mercure, and bad impression on Sofia. SHAME.
