"This hotel is right in the towns center square, which worried me a bit when booking it but as there is not a lot of choice in Haro for hotels I booked and was very happy I did! The room we got was right over the square and hotel bar, but it was Dead quiet!, due to the triple glazed windows! Such a convenient and easy walk to the bars for dinner and of course the wineries for tastings! The train station was an experience but it all worked!"

"Impressive looking entrance and public areas but rooms are very very basic. No bar or restaurant unless you book with a ‘separate’ business ? Pleasant staff at checkin. 10-15 minute walk in to town. We had no hot water for our whole stay and we’re only offered the use of another room just before checkout. Didn’t get breakfast because it was overcrowded and chaotic. Just one small hot water dispenser for around 100 people. Dirty cups, no free tables. Very disappointing. "

"An incrddible beautiful old building with great history. However it is tired and very dated, tables in lounge frayed, paint coming off bedroom doors etc. It needs refurb, The dining area is hidden behind large meter+ square plant pots, not very romantic in such a building. Dining service was aweful but food good. The receptionist guy was incredibly helpful and even went out on the street to find parking for us. We have stayed there before but will not be back …"

No other suite available so we had to walk in our robes down the hall, to the elevator, and down the hall again carrying our toiletries to shower in another room with broken glass (Room 002) for two days. No compensation was offered. The main reason for staying at this location was for the wine tasting cave room that was closed for maintenance. No compensation offered.
