End of Ski Season Family Gathering
Oakley House was wonderful! Amazing location and very comfortable, family centric home! Very good value for “on the mountain rental” in a quiet location with lots of space. Susan the owner was a great host and very responsive to our questions and inquires before and during our stay.

Magnificent Views ; Spacious Accommodation
This property has everything. It is ski in / ski out with beautiful views. It is well equipped in the kitchen and throughout the house. The floor plan of multiple levels and the individual room sizes afford privacy and plenty of common spaces for family enjoyment. Our experience exceeded our expectations. The owners might consider upgrading the pictures online.

Great for the whole extended family
We had 3 generations stay here, ages 1 to 76, and it was perfect. Everyone could have their own space and there was plenty of room to hang out after the kids went to bed. The pictures really do not do the home justice. The Great Room is truly great with amazing views of the mountain. The outdoor patio was great for morning coffee and a sunset happy hour! The property manager was very responsive as well. Five stars, will definitely return!

Million dollar view!!! perfect location!!
One of the most memorable vacations with our family and friends. Plenty of space for 11 people very very comfortably. Teenage boys stayed downstairs and were as loud as they wanted to be and couldn’t be heard where adults were. The view of the slopes and mountain was worth more than a million!! Hot tub after skiing was awesome. The house is outdated but the house, location, and memories……..after soooo much fun, didn’t think about it again. Great trip!!!

This is a large, comfortable and unique home with a private feeling on each level. The views are truly incredible and it is the perfect home for families and large groups. We have been in the process of updating including new blinds throughout the house. Over the years there have been many returning guests and many special memories. So glad this was a memorable vacation. Come back and visit again!

Fun family place
We had a great time staying at this property. There are many different levels and stairs which gives the bedrooms lots of privacy and everyone had room to spread out in this large house. The home was very well stocked with everything we needed. We really enjoyed the time on the deck relaxing and watching the sunset. We went into Aspen several times and the drive was about 20 minutes of beautiful mountain views. It was a short 5-7 minute ride down to Snowmass Village. There are no ceiling fans so when the daytime temps reached the mid 80's, the rooms got warm (especially the master bedroom) and it took quite a while to cool down. Would have loved ceiling fans in the bedrooms! Also, the mattress in the master bedroom slants so one person rolls towards the edge, but the other side was comfortable! A doorknob fell off and the management was there promptly to fix it.

This large home is uniquely designed for privacy on each level and is well stocked for guests. Typically the open windows provide a nice cool mountain breeze in the summer but occasionally we have warm days as was the case this summer and ceiling fans are a possibility for the future. The king mattress has a brand new pillow topper and tends to slant. Will check into that. Our new property management team is readily available to help day or night. We are fortunate to have them! The views from the deck are absolutely majestic and Aspen is a short drive away with beautiful views as well. There is so much to do year round in the Aspen area. This is a special home in an incredible location! Come back and visit again!

Summer in Snowmass
We had an amazing week! Four adults and three teens (17/18/19) enjoyed all the mountain had to offer. The property was beautiful and we could not get enough of the sunset views from the deck. The house is well stocked with kitchen essentials and well-loved games to play on a rainy day. The boys enjoyed the bumper pool and poker table! My only suggestion would be to put a television in the family room. We really wanted to watch the morning Wimbledon matches, but not in the basement. There is a small tv in the kitchen, but it would be nice to have viewing options in the common area to hang out together or chill at night and watch a movie. Overall, beautiful property and great vacation.

Summer in Snowmass is incredible! The sunsets and sunrises are beautiful and there is so much to do in the area! This home is perfect for groups of all ages and sizes, and there is privacy on each level. We keep the house well stocked with supplies and plenty of games and activities for "rainy days." Many people (including the owners) prefer to talk in the living room area and get away from the television, however the lower level entertainment level has plenty of seating and a large tv and there are tvs in the master and upper queen bedrooms. A larger tv is planned for the kitchen/dining room open area. Come back and visit again!

Great Location
The location is hard to beat for ski in/out access to Snowmass. Great option if you prioritize access over a modern up-to-date home. The adults in our group did not find the futons large enough to sleep comfortably on so they would likely be best for kids.

This home is perfect for ski in /out and if the futons are assembled correctly they can easily sleep an adult but are better for children. This home is about family, easy access to the ski slopes and the views are truly majestic!

Another great memory with family
This was our 2nd time staying in the Oakley home albeit a much different tune as we have 3 new babies (all 1 yr and less) and it made for more great memories. The ability to gather with a lot of family and not feel cramped while skiing is always great. The home was clean and had alot of extra necessities to allow for babies. Won’t be our last time. Oh yea and it’s still ski in-ski out and with a big family it’s always a plus,

Welcome back! This home is perfect for large groups and spread out enough so there is privacy on each level. Baby equipment and supplies are readily available and additional supplies are available upon request. Special memories for sure with a new generation of skiers. I can not say enough positive things about my first time experience with this Vrbo property! We stayed here for my 50th birthday, and everything went about as smoothly as it could. The only hiccup was the incorrect code was initially sent to us. However, communication was so upfront and forth coming with the property manager and owners, the issue was IMMEDIATELY resolved and entrance was gained. While the mountain was only partially open during our stay, we were close enough to the mall that driving down was a breeze. The pictures posted do not even come close to doing this property justice. Everyone's reaction to the view from the living room in the morning was one of awe and wonderment. I was blown away by my experience and amazingly grateful for the opportunity to stay in such a beautiful home. This will be a yearly event for me and my friends now for years to come, I am sure!!!

Spacious house in a great location
We had 3 families with 11 adults total and never felt crowded. Full kitchen. Internet worked well. Hot tub was great. Clean beds and baths and good shower water pressure. Easy access to the slope, village, and grocery store. Had to call the property manager to get a few things and they were delivered the next day. Make sure you communicate with the property manager to get the latest access code as we had an old code when we first arrived at the house. Overall we had a great trip and definitely would stay again.

This home does have incredible views and is perfect for large gatherings! The views, year-round are gorgeous and the guests feel right at home with the kitchen and house amenities. The "new" deck provides peaceful viewing of the mountains.

The Oakley residence is a wonderful place to spend time with family. You can feel the love the family has put into the place. It is not an immaculate, modern home. Rather, it is almost a time capsule… very vintage and very comfy! It feels like home.

This home is comfortable and family friendly. The large photos taken in Guatamala and decor brings a touch of the Southwest to Aspen. This home also has a unique "European flair". The design and use of space definitely make this home "one of a kind " and the large windows capture the majestic views all around!

Outstanding stay in Snowmass
My family and I had an incredible time staying at this property in Snowmass. We enjoyed the large family room with its cozy fireplace and amazing view of the slopes and mountains. The house is very large and comfortably fit 8 of us with room to spare. The kitchen has every amenity we could ask for including a giant coffee pot and slow cooker. The dining table fits at least 10 people comfortably and the room has a nice open feel that flows into the family room. All of the rooms upstairs are a nice size with room to walk around and stretch out. The hot tub was a great addition to the end of a long ski day. We enjoyed our stay immensely. I would note that although most of us are strong skiers and fully appreciated the ski-in and ski-out access, the ski-out part did pose a bit of a challenge to the skiers who were just starting out. Overall though we had a wonderful stay and would gladly stay here again when we visit snowmass in the future!

So true, the views from every window of this home are truly majestic! This home is large, yet cozy, the perfect family home. After a long day of skiing the hot tub is definitely a plus. As stated on the website, the ski out trail can be a bit challenging for beginner skiers especially with the several feet of snow that we have had lately, but there are alternatives and for most skiers it's a fun "adventure ". Thank you and come visit again!

Our family stayed at this property the week after Christmas. The location was excellent with easy access to the mountain. The views are majestic and the extremely spacious house is comfortable offering a warm whirlpool, gas grill, wood burning fireplace and all the tools needed for preparing and serving dinner. I would highly recommend this property.

Great Home, needs some TLC.
Great property! Great location. The house does need some upkeep. All small things, but a bit irritating. Broken light switches, broken shades, light bulbs out, clocks that need batteries, etc. The hot tub was great!

Great home for a ski vacation
Overall, this was a great stay and the house was beautiful. Close and convenient ski-in, ski-out to Snowmass. The only issue was that the # of beds listed did not match up with expectations. Several futon-like oversized chairs were counted as beds. It ended up working fine, but I would confirm that the number of actual beds aligns with what your group needs. Other than that, everything else was perfect.

Outstanding in Every Way!
The Oakley’s home in Snowmass truly exceeded our expectations. It was warm and inviting, while also providing a ton of space and beautiful views. Highlights of the house include: a spacious deck with a huge view, cozy breakfast nook where our group enjoyed eating together in the mornings, great room with soaring ceilings and wood-burning fireplace, an overall size and multi-level layout that provided a great deal of privacy, and of course the hot tub. There are so many great summer activities within striking distance of this house that we were able to keep everyone (ages 2-73) happy and busy for the whole week. Some of the highlights included visiting Maroon Bells, fishing with our 5-year-old, going for walks/hiking right from the house, playgrounds by the Snowmass recreation center, climbing Mt. Elbert (1.5 hours away over independence pass) and indulging with a few local beers. Next trip we will be taking advantage of the nearby golf and mountain biking. All in all, this is an outstanding home in a first-class location that was perfect for our extended family. The hosts are kind and responsive. You’ll have a tough time finding a better place to stay in Snowmass!

We hosted 5 couples and had a great time. Hung out in great room, on porch, cooked a couple really nice meals, and morning coffee in hot tub. Great walks, biking, and hiking close. Only suggestion is better pillows and AC controls. House got a little hot in upper levels and we couldn’t figure out how to kick on AC

Family Wedding Trip
Rented the Oakley Home for a week to attend a family wedding in Snowmass. We had 12 family members staying with us in the home and it had plenty of room. The kitchen has every cooking utential you could want or need. Each cabinet was labeled to identify the contents making finding anything very easy. Paper goods (kleenex and bathroom tissue) were well stocked. The refridgerator in the garage was useful for soft drinks and other bulky items. The internet service was excellent, good speed and easy to sign on to for all users. Last but not least the view and location was excellent. The home is located near the top of the homes built on the mountain. The west view is outstanding. We would rent this property again with out a doubt.

Colorado at its finest!
Our extended family of seven adults and five grandkids had an incredible stay at this beautiful Snowmass home of the Oakley Family! Perfect accommodations and more than enough room with a magnificent view, enjoying the stars in the hot tub each evening. We saw the Maroon Bells and hiked the four miles roundtrip to Crater Lake, went to the Aspen 4th of July Parade, (bummer they called off the fireworks), went to the Snowmass Rodeo (every Wednesday evening) hiked the Snowmass North Rim Trail together, visited the ghost town of Ashcroft, St. Benedict Monastery, and the old mining town of Marble. Our last night at the lodge we saw a huge cinnamon black bear nonchalantly walking up a far ski slope. We took the route home over Independence Pass, one of the most incredible drives in Colorado. Can't wait to return to this magnificent home in the bosom of Colorado's high country!

Snowmass is truly gorgeous in the summer and the home is perfect for families! There are numerous activities and things to do in the summer. How much fun to see a bear on the ski slope! They pretty much hang out in the summer and mind their own business. The 4th of July parade in Aspen is fantastic along with the fireworks display, however this year there was a computer glitch. The rodeos are a highlight in the summer as well as taking a hike on the numerous trails. Hope you visit again soon!

Beautiful mountain family home
It was wonderful to stay in the Oakley home with another family. Each family had their own area of the house so there was privacy, while sharing the huge common areas for meals and games. Thank you for your comment. During heavy snow years, and this has definitely been a heavy snow year, ski out can be challenging, so this is a good reminder for beginner skiers. There are optional routes for skiing out. Skiing in is fine for skiers of all levels. Glad you enjoyed the house!

Absolutely beautiful in an amazing location!
This is an amazing home shared by an amazing family in an amazing location! The people responsible for maintaining the property do a great job and are just a call away to answer any questions and be there at a moment's notice if there are any issues. This is a spectacular home looking right at the ski slope (as is the hot tub) and is a wonderful place for a large group any time of year! You can ski right down to the lift and right back to the house after a great day of skiing! Great place for small kids because every room also has a pull out futon bed. There is always something going on in the snowmass mall area with great food and music! The owners are amazing and flexible and really want anyone who rents their beautiful home to have the most memorable time of their life!

This truly is an amazing home year round! The lower village keeps growing with new shops and restaurants opening up all the time. The house is definitely "kid friendly" and our property management team is available 24/7 to assist with any question or issue. Words can't describe it!
After researching every single website and all local real estate managers, I was lucky enough to end up at the Oakley's property. The house is simply amazing! It does have everything any large group could possibly look for, from all the 5 bedrooms that can comfortably host 10 people. The super large living room has an increabible view to the mountain and all its super nice couches had me and my friends (we were in 8 total) hanging out after skiing. Btw, the ski in/out is very convenient and easy to find. We were very lucky with the weather and there was lots of snow for a perfect ski week, and even with a foot of fresh snow, the cars were able to reach the house, once there were workers plowing the snow every couple of hours from the village to the top of the road, including our garage door. Also, the hot tub was already warm and clean since day one, which was great! The bbq place was all set and all we needed to worry about was not burning the burgers! I was greeted by Steve and his wife, the local property managers, who were super kind and nice to all my requests. All bathrooms had lots of clean towels and all amenities we could think of (soap, shampoo, conditioner, hairdryer, etc...). The kitchen is fully equiped and we didn't feel like anything was missing. We all loved that house and we'll sure come back, hopefully next year already! If you're reading this, I hope you do choose this home and have as many good moments as me and my friends did during our stay there! We were a group of Brazilians running away from Carnival and we sure had a blast!

Thank you so much for the perfect description of Oakley's Majestic Vacation Home! It's true that words can't adequately describe this home. It is very unique, large yet cozy on each level. The large dining/living room is perfect for entertaining! Our property management team is so helpful and caring and are available 24/7! Glad you enjoyed all of the special features the home has to offer. It's amazing how much it snows, yet the crews are able to clear the roads quickly and efficiently. The weather in Colorado is always a surprise, but we have been fortunate in Snowmass to receive consistent snowfall for excellent skiing. Our summer activities and views are also spectacular with so much to do and see in our beautiful state of Colorado. We are looking forward to your return visit next year!

A stay at Oakley's Majestic Snowmass
the house had privacy for the various family units and yet an atmosphere for celebration! We loved the hiking trails and beautiful sunsets. The accommodations were excellent and nearby stores and adventures. The final day was eye opening as a bear tried to join us for breakfast! Snowmass is gorgeous this time of year and there is so much to do! Mark, our new property manager, is very helpful and easy to work with. An occasional bear will wander on by making for a memorable vacation. The home is accommodating for groups of all sizes and we love the walking/biking trails around the area. The mountain views are truly majestic! Come back again!
