Superb position very close to lovely beach . Above supermarket ( run by owner of apartments), for goods. Eva very helpful and met us with welcome pack. Apartment clean and pretty, in lovely setting. On the bus route serving all the Skiathos beaches. Water taxi from the beach to Skiathos.

Very disappointing

Very upset. We arrived at the property to find it locked up. I called the number left in previous communications but there was no answer but left a voicemail message. Shortly afterwards, I received a call from a gentleman saying he was from the local booking agency to say the property owner was away and that we should find alternative accommodation! This was a ridiculous and unhelpful comment as it was 29th January and the island was not in tourist season, so this was almost impossible. We had just arrived on the only daily flight on the island and it was now 5pm. He then asked if we were actually on the island! Of course we were as we had said were outside the property! He said he would find an alternative apartment. The gentleman then called back to say he had organised accommodation at the Polykratis Apartments in the town centre. This was by the Polykratis Restaurant and for our trouble he was arranging a free meal. However, the ccommodation was terrrible (damp, musty and a very small cheap room unlike the spacious apartment we had booked at Tzaneria) plus the restaurant was a building site and obviously not open for business. we told him the room was terrible and that he would find another place for us. We went looking ourselves and found a room at the Meltemi Hotel on the harbour front, being one of only 2/3 hotels open. The gentleman then called back to say he had found a 2 bedroom apartment for us - at the Meltemi! There was no apartment. We are very disappointed
