5 star for quality/price

Before arriving, we were worried about the hotel given the low price and the 1 star. There was no need as the room was great with a lovely view and comfortable bed. A nearby pool bar offering breakfast perfectly compliments this basic hotel.

location fantastica, abbiamo alloggiato al secondo piano e davanti a noi una terrazza fantastica.. stanza ampia pulita e con ogni confort.. il proprietario gentile e disponibile ci ha dato tutte le migliori informazioni e grazie anche a lui e stato un soggiorno indimenticabile, grazie ancora.. consigliatissimo anche per la posizione a meta dell'isola..

Ottima sistemazione a 5 minuti dal centro . due camere, angolo cottura e splendido terrazzo con vista mare. Personale gentile e disponibile .unico problema Wifi mal funzionante e doccetta del bagno.

il panorama non basta

sin dall'ínizio é stato difficile contattatare la struttura (non rispondono a mail, sms, wattsup) abbiamo dovuto fare una chiamata internazionale al numero di telefono fisso prima che ci rispondesse qualcuno. Responsabile della struttura latitante, visto solo il giorno del check-in e quel giorno, dopo la nostra richiesta, ci ha detto che ci avrebbe fornito un bollitore e due tazze, entrambi mai visti. Il giorno del check-out vista l'assenza di chiunque abbiamo dovuto lasciare la chiave attaccata alla serratura esterna della porta. Il wifi ha cominciato a funzionare dopo 8 giorni (su 11 di soggiorno e dopo mia richiesta). Mancano sedie per il tavolo, bicchieri, tazze e suppellettili, un bollitore, un cestino per i rifiuti (ogni giorno ci siamo procurati una busta in cui mettere l'immondizia che il personale delle pulizie gentilmente rimuoveva), nel bagno mancano mensole e mobiletti, il portasapone e un portasciugamano erano in condizioni pessime. La struttura é difficile da trovare, non c'é alcuna indicazione sulla strada (abbiamo impiegato 20min girando per trovarla).

Not a good place to stay

I booked this Hotel via Expedia. My friend who is a Greek asked people at the airport, taxi driver and bus driver and no one had heard of the Blue Bay. We stopped and asked a nice couple who own the Anastasia apts who drove us about trying to find this hotel, they rang the tourist police. Eventually they located it and it was previously called Banos or Panos hotel. We arrived and the place was empty and spent 5 mins calling out and knocking on doors. At last the owner came out and asked what we wanted. My friend explained the situation and he told that it was not his problem and he had told expedia that the hotel was shut until June as there was a problem with the well. He told me it was not his problem and sort it out with expedia. So my advice is never book into the Blue Bay hotel because if it is open I would not like think of the treatment you may receive.

Great host, nice view, hard to find.

Above the main road near bus stop 9, it took us about 2 hours to locate this place in our rental car. Expedia has done them a real disservice in not giving good directions. Blue Bay is clean, small, & quieter than many places nearer the road or in Skiathos town. Vagelis is very friendly, helpful & responsive. Contact him directly when you arrive on Skiathos & arrange to meet him at a nearby point so that he can escort you to the property.
