"This hotel is ok but pretty basic overall. Although clean, the room felt very tired. Staff aren’t really on hand late at night or in the morning. It was good value. "
"Clean, quiet and comfortable. If you need somewhere to stay for a night without breaking the bank, then you can't go wrong. About a 20-minute walk from Cardiff Central."
"Room was ok but we used the sofa bed for 2 of the guests and when we pulled it out it wasn’t clean and behind it was filthy such a shame because it’s a fabulous location and communication was great
Also bathroom and carpets need an upgrade very tired but functional "
"Nice location, staff were helpful and breakfast/food was great.
Stayed for one night in the heat wave and room was sweltering - but found a fan in the wardrobe to help."

New House Country Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"I had a fantastic time staying here for my wedding weekend! The staff were absolutely fabulous, and the room was spotless. The beds were so comfy, I honestly didn’t want to leave! Can’t wait to book and stay again soon!"
"Our stay was a delight from start to finish. We had planned to drop our case and head off to Cardiff before check-in but the room was ready 2 hours early so we were able to check in then! The room was gorgeous. Beautifully decorated and clean and spacious. The shower was lovely once we got to grips with the temperature control. The kitchenette was well-equipped and a lovely touch. The hot tub was fantastic with clear instructions. We were even able to use it in the rain due to the little roof that over hung. The chemicals did sting our eyes a little bit the stunning view of the hill made up for that. Plus, it shows how clean it was. The location was perfect for a visit to Cardiff. Cannot recommend this place enough. We'll definitely be booking again. "

A Charming Stay Steps Away from Caerphilly Castle!
10/10 Excellent
"It was charming, close to the castle and local eateries. The hosts had a great book with detailed descriptions and explanations about the home. I would highly recommend to those who want to visit Caerphilly. "
"Look - I know this is an IBIS so you are not going to get all the whistles and bells, but it is an ACCOR group hotel, so the accommodation standards are high like they are with all this groups hotels.
We were welcomed by the lovely team to a spacious and bright reception/lobby area. Check-in was less than a minute. The room was very clean, of good size with comfy bed and a clean bathroom. Didnt have breakfast because we were meeting family in town.
I travel extensively for work. I would stay here again without hesitation."
"We came & stayed over the easter bank holiday as friends live 20 mins away. The location was perfect. And the owners were very friendly. Accommodating & doggy owners too. We wanted toget away from our hectic working lives and have a peaceful break with our two doggies. Plenty of walks. Definately book again."
Caerphilly Castle is a huge medieval castle in the South Wales, located in Caerphilly, seven and a half miles north of Cardiff. The castle stands out from other Welsh castles thanks to two distinct factors. The first of these is its sheer size; it is the second largest castle in the UK after Windsor Castle, occupying 30 acres.
