The villa was actually a duplex unit and we got the first level. We thought the villa is a villa which means is separated from other units. The first floor attracted many lizards into the house and the glass doors had big gabs which made it easy for the lizzards and other insects to come right in. Good location and nice size unit but I won't stay there again but rather find a newer villas to rent. My cousin rented a newly build modern condo which was litrle smaller but had Air conditionings all over the unit and he did not have to pay extra for electricity like I did. BTW, that condo was in the same area and less to rent.

Terrible communication shenanigans

First of all, although the Jan Thiel area overall is nicer, as a resort Blue Bay is great. It’s nice, safe and close to town. The check in experience was the worst: they weren’t expecting us (even though their own print out said check in on the 16th, they had written 17 on the paper). The property manager was quickly cleaning the unit (it wasn’t dirty but maybe not used for a little while). Worst of all they then told us that at the mid point of our stay we would have to move as somebody else would be given the unit. They claimed to have communicated this via email with Expedia (I know hotels.com is owned by them but this was odd). Of course they couldn’t share email history. I pushed back aggressively and on the day of (as they still had not communicated anything), told them they would have to bring the police as I could prove that I paid for the 3 bedroom villa and wasn’t moving. And of course we had plans that day. So only last minute on the day of, they send me a brief email that we could stay (and we wouldn’t have moved). So next time I would book local for this property to avoid these issues).

The villa was spacious, but lacked simple things like pool or beach toys, dish soap, paper towels... There were no lounge chairs on the deck in the unit we rented. Also, we had a mid-stay cleaning, which was not thorough at all. Beds were made and towels changed, no kitchen or bathroom cleaning. The pool and beach are very nice and the dive shop offers some great tours. The beach restaurant was ok but very pricey.

Complexe sécurisé d'une propreté irréprochable pour Curaçao. Situé à quelques minutes de l'aéroport et d'un grand super marché.Tranquillité des autres résidents du secteur P parfaite. Belle piscine commune et 5 minutes de marche de la plage et des restos du complexe. Ce ne sont pas toutes les villas qui ont la même intimité, vue ou proximité du stationnement. Nous avions la 46, soit la plus éloignée de la plage, mais aussi la plus près du stationnement (parfait pour les courses) et avec vue sur un sentier très peu passant. Terrasse confortable, bien aérée et pas trop chaude. Arrivée très facile et parfaite pour voyageurs qui n'arrivent pas toujours à l'heure prévue. Cuisine complète et bien équipée. Tous les appareils fonctionnent très bien.Seul problème était qu'il manque quelques pièces de vaisselle (Seulement 4 grandes assiettes etc.) Un petit ensemble de sel-poivre-épices aurait aussi été apprécié, car nous avons dû en acheter pour seulement quelques repas Je recommande Blue Bay Villas.

Great Villa in a very lagre secure resort area, with the best beach on Curacao. The area is well kept and clean. Really good and fast service. I would go there again.

Heerlijk ruime villa op rustig resort

Dit was de 2e x in minder dan een jaar dat wij met onze 2 kleine kinderen deze (of soortgelijke) villa voor een week huurden. Villa is heerlijk ruim opgezet en zwembad(en), zee en strand zijn op loopafstand. Verder betrekkelijk weinig faciliteiten. Tegenwoordig voor een gezin zeer noodzakelijk: (gratis) wifi werkte goed, zelfs met hele gezin (2 iPads & 2 telefoons) tegelijk. Enige minpunt: hoewel onderhoud zeer goed is en zeer schoon, beginnen de villa's langzaamaan ouddated te raken.
