Beautiful room in a stately inn. Delighted with everything. Just know that the "Breakfast" that is included is cereal, toast, and beverages -- if you want a full cooked breakfast it costs extra.

Hi PeterThank you for the review. Our breakfast included in the stay is not only the continental. A hot breakfast is also included as you were handed a hot breakfast menu when seated. This comes at no extra cost and is part of your stay.

Excellent.
Excellent accommodation, we so enjoyed it that we booked another night. Menu was so good and staff so attentive and helpful. We found it a super hotel to explore the area and will be booking again.

A lovely overnight stay
The room was comfortable and spacious with a good bathroom. The restaurant and bar area were also of a high standard. Plenty of parking spaces and wonderful views. Staff were all cheerful, friendly and efficient. We would stay there again. A word of caution for those of limited mobility - the rooms on the top floor are accessed by steep stairs so it's worth checking when booking.

What an amazing place to stay! We were made to feel welcomed and valued from the moment we arrived. The team are friendly yet professional. As it was our Ruby Wedding we received a surprise room upgrade from our second night. Our previous room was great but the upgrade room was simply stunning. We had planned to eat in the restaurant just on the first night but the food and the staff were so first class that we ate there each evening of our stay! Would throughly recommend The Riverside Inn and a big thank you to all who made our stay so special.

This is a super place, our room was superb, very comfy bed, staff were very good, a welcome card on the bed with a couple of chocs was a nice touch. Food in the restaurant for evening dinner was amazing, I would have liked to have a bit more of a healthy choice for breakfast, but saying that the granola was v good.[spinach/Shakshuka] The only small criticism is a magnifying mirror in the bathroom with a light around it would have been the icing on the cake. But an amazing place.

Really couldn’t fault the Riverside bedrooms, food or setting. Staff friendly, and everything recently redecorated and spotless. Convenient for Shrewsbury, the Wrekin and nearby villages, but a car is a must.

Pleasant overall stay
We stayed for 1 night and overall it was pleasant. Lovely and clean room and friendly staff. It was a very warm and muggy day and unfortunately there was no air conditioning in the room. There was a small fan which didn’t really help. We kept the window open all night and the room was facing the main road so there was constant traffic noise. Unfortunately, there was no mini fridge in the room either which would have been very handy. Another downside was that there’s no room service which was a little disappointing considering how much we’d paid for our stay. We had dinner in the restaurant which was nice, but again there was no air conditioning. Breakfast the next morning was lovely with beautiful views of the river and countryside. I think we would stay again but perhaps in autumn or winter.

Thank you for the review. Our restaurant and conservatory has state of the art air conditioning so we are surprised to hear this. We will of course take on your feedback around the airflow in the rooms and look to improve this. A mini fridge and room service are things we unfortunately do not offer.Thank you for the feedback

A fabulous birthday trip
We had a fabulous stay here for my husbands birthday surprise. The staff went out of their way to make our stay special. This is honestly becoming my favourite place, the views are beautiful, food delicious and the staff could not be any better. Thank you for making our stay wonderful. x

WOW! Better than expected !!
WOW! This hotel is absolutely gorgeous , I was so shocked when we arrived and saw just how beautiful the hotel was . The location and views are fantastic , the rooms are beyond spacious , clean and stunning. The breakfast was so yummy and the portion size was huge! Overall so so pleased with our stay and will definitely be booking to go again!!

Range Anxiety!
Being new to driving an electric car on a long trip, we were delighted with the charging arrangements and the incredibly helpful staff both on the phone beforehand and when we arrived. Food was great.

Outstanding and great value for money
Outstanding in all aspects - superb room, excellent view and a busy and vibrant venue. Only fault was the breakfast was below standard - burned toast and undercooked poached egg - this small issue did not detract from a fabulous stay

Fair but could be better
Overall it was good. Comfy, clean. Service was good albeit a bit pushy for approval rating. The menu is good but inflexible. The full breakfast on my last morning was very poor with stale sausage and undercooked bacon and black pudding.

Fantastic service, highly recommended
Great hospitality. Every personnel seemed a natural in customer service. This was for business...I'm used to staying in hotels, where they just can't provide this personal touch. It's convinced me to start booking at smaller places going forward

Hidden Gem !!!
Absolutely liked the place, the sat nav took me elsewhere to start with which was frustrating. But once I arrived it was worth it. Excellent helpful staff. Beautiful rooms ( I’m bringing my wife with me next time as they are so nice ) Great food !

Absolutely fabulous
Fabulous stay, wonderful staff and the whole Inn was beautifully refurbished to a very high standard. Also wonderful views of the river from the restaurant.
