This lodge is just lovely. It is located on a small sheep farm which was a great bonus. The sheep are on the fields like 6 feet from your door and they had just had babies! There are pheasants too. The lodge is well equipped and the beds comfy. The heating is really good; had to turn it down at times. The views are outstanding and on a clear night you can see so many stars. There is no noise from anywhere, it is so peaceful. It is about a 20 min drive from Shrewsbury so ideal for visiting. I would highly recommend this lodge to family and friends and will no doubt be back.

This was booked as a get away from it all weekend for my wife’s birthday.
This was booked as a get away from it all weekend for my wife’s birthday. It certainly delivered! Lovely location in the middle of nowhere. We took everything we needed for the weekend and had a perfect time. The owner was lovely and showed us round and told us how everything worked and then left us to it. There was a previous review that mentioned the water smelt funny, it did a bit, but based on the review we did take two 5 litre bottles of water for coffee/tea. The water was absolutely fine for washing/teeth brushing. All in all we had a wonderful relaxing weekend eating, drinking a binge watching tv! Just what the doctor ordered. Our cockapoo loved the place too and had lots of play and zoomies in the enclosed garden. We would definitely recommend

Lovely log cabin, very clean , excellent central heating with radiators in every room.
Lovely log cabin, very clean , excellent central heating with radiators in every room. Good sized fenced in garden for our dog to run around in. Veranda with table and chairs where you can sit back and watch countryside and wonderful sunsets. The cabin is up a steep gravel track so would not be suitable for cars with low ground clearance. The owner was very nice.
A bit of a challenge to find, but worth it. Beautiful view, and a superb cabin.
Friendly owner with nice farm.

We loved our stay at Callow Lodge, the views were beautiful and our children loved the resident animals! Remote location but this made it very tranquil. Historic Shrewsbury under half hour away and lots of walks nearby. Large garden which our dog and children enjoyed running around in! Owners very welcoming. We’d like to return .
