This shot was actually taken just outside Winton, 180km from Longreach! I wish I knew how to add locations to Trover! Lol. I love Winton because it's the really real Aussie outback. The dinosaur museum is world class and well worth a visit and a tour. The food is great at Tattersalls pub and the rooms are clean and cool at the North Gregory.
Small airport. Tip: if you don't have pick up organised, there are no taxi's outside waiting.

pick up and return to meet train most appreciated. Room yery old western style ,had everything I needed incl. a kitchenette .rooms spaceous and clean. TV. worked well. Central location to town centre.Well priced compared with some popular motels. Iwill stay there again

Excellent place to stay, close pubs and restaurants. Some parts of the bathroom were a little bit dirty and could do with an extra clean but other than that I will be back!

Longreach

The view from the lookout on Mt Slocombe, located near Yaraka, Queensland. The views overlook the Yang Yang Ranges and nearby farming plains. This shot was taken at dawn just as the sun was about to break above the horizon on the other side of the lookout. I was surprised how still it was atop the mountain (or technically a jump up). Make sure you stop by this lookout and enjoy a refreshing drink with the friendly locals at the Yaraka Hoel before traveling further west into Outback Queensland. #queensland #australia
