"Unbelievable property. The views and sounds of the river in every room are intoxicating. It’s down a super quiet street so you won’t hear any traffic. The meals were outstanding. The onsens were both unique and beautiful. The fixtures are dated but it makes the esthetic that much more authentic. I can’t recommend enough as a launching point to explore Takayama. I hope to be back! "

"This was one of the best hotels I stayed in in Japan! The service was outstanding, the room was beautiful and very clean. We had our own private mineral tub and even a massage chair. The Kaiseki dinner was outstanding. I had left behind an important piece of equipment, and the staff found it and emailed me within an hour of leaving the hotel. "It is very economical price, i recommand if you go there by car. About 40min. from center of Kanazawa and Toyama.There is big bath of hot spring and various menu buffet for the breakfast. "

"Great location especially for festivals and old town. The best room, friendly staff, public onsen, really enjoyed traditional breakfast. Make sure the hotels helps with dinner reservations, they did not offer for us and a lot of restaurants book up. "
