"We where put in a disability room so all the amenities where low down. The shower was slow and we had no full length mirror. I have stayed at the Marriott before and it was nice but I was disappointed "
"Stunning facade and interior design. Our room was facing the side “street”, very quiet. Everything is clean and new. Well stocked coffee, tea and snacks were a nice surprise."
"I stay here often, I like the hotel, it is convenient for business meetings etc. I don’t like the holding deposit. I don’t want to buy anything on credit and the deposit takes too long to clear! "
"The room was really clean- which is why I’ve chosen the ibis a few times now. However on this occasion the extractor didn’t work/didn’t seem there was one in the bathroom. Also the temperature was allover the place. Despite using the climate control, it didn’t stay at a constant.
Also the maid service/cleaners were so incredibly loud it was disruptive- they were yelling down the corridor to each other and could be heard inside the room easily.
It’s still very good value for £68 a night on a weekend. Car parking is good for £10 a day, but be warned you have a bit of a walk with luggage as there’s no stopping in front of the hotel. Also there’s only ONE fast ev charger, multiple slow ones. So get plugged in overnight.
Lots of eateries close by and shops, walkable to arena, theatre and nightlife. Staff are friendly too.
"
"I've stayed at The Crown a few times...and many will say its outdated...needs a lick of paint...not me...its quite a charming hotel with character and squeaky floorboards...dont ever change...plus the location is fantastic..."
