"My girlfriend and I stayed for our first two nights in Taiwan at The Gaia Hotel and we had a very relaxing time. The staff is amazing and very attentive, the facilities are great and clean and the rooms are very nice. We loved that the hot spring water was piped into a tub in our bathroom for our own private soak. It’s very conveniently located and there’s many little food spots within walking distance or a short uber ride. Also within walking distance is a nice park and library. Definitely recommend staying at the Gaia to relax either at the start of your trip or end."

"Staff was incredible and extremely courteous and helpful. I recommend this resort, especially during winter season, it still offers a wonderful view of the City, even in the fog and rain. I also recommend more than a night's stay, so you can try the different breakfast styles, restaurants, or take the shuttle into xinbeitou to experience local Taiwanese markets. Thank you to Po for impeccable service in both mandarin and english, as well as Carol for the lovely spa service!"

"Nice room with private hot spring and comfortable bed. The location is great although it's about a 20min walk up the hill from Shinbeitou MRT station. There is a small bus from Shinbeitou that will take you up the hill. My only complaints were that a 5pm check-in time is unnecessarily late and breakfast was only served for 1hr between 830-930am.. I had to head to the airport early and so couldn't take advantage."
