"The guest house was in a great position, just a few minutes walk from the harbour area. Our twin room with very comfy, great shower with loads of hot water. The room was quite compact but had everything we needed for our 4 night stay. We loved the breakfasts, continental style with the added bonus of Julie’s lovely home baking! Nigel and Julie were wonderful hosts. Recommended. "

"We couldn't have asked for a better spot for our trip! We were right on the road where all the cute little shops are but it was never loud. We walked from the ferry- it wasn't too far. The owners are just wonderful and gave us ideas on places to see and where to eat. The breakfast was delicious! Try the porridge, you won't be disappointed! I highly recommend!"

"Spacious, clean and well appointed. Fabulous view over the harbour. A welcoming and helpful host added to our wonderful stay. Recommend without hesitation. Easy street parking. As the name suggests, a penthouse apartment requires some steps to climb. Great location with co-op supermarket near by and an easy 5 min walk into main street."

"We loved our brief stay at the Queen’s. My husband had been taken ill on arrival in Lerwick and we had to change our plans to let him rest up. We booked last minute and were surprised to be able to still choose a twin room with sea view. The sea literally lapped outside our window and the view was stunning. The hotel has a fascinating history and is built actually into the sea so those who complained of damp should have gone some where else. The shower was great with loads of instant hot water and the bathroom and linen were beautifully clean. The staff were really helpful. The night porter rummaged around and found me a bottle opener and there was cutlery in the room for our delicious fish and chips from the Fort café, given that the hotel’s restaurant is being refurbished. We would definitely recommend the Queen’s and wish the new owners success in their quest to restore it to its former glory. "
