On arrival the receptionist was friendly and efficient. The apartment was well maintained and offered plenty of facilities if we had stayed more than the one night. We chose to eat in town at lunchtime, whilst visiting the shopping centre. Plenty of shopping options if you want.
Went to Hearsons Cove , 25 minute drive north of town for a picnic and watch the sunset. Wish I'd taken a towel.
Would stay here again.

Average accommodation which didn’t suit our particular needs, too far out of town to be able to walk anywhere to eat/drink. Ok if you have a designated driver but even I wanted a couple of beers after arriving here! Karratha is a mining town and most units occupied by the workers. Ok for a stop over however a strong smell of sewerage or sulphur from the bathroom drain was a big turn off. Unfortunately as with lots of mining towns the presence of the mining community (although integral to the area financially) pushes the cost of accommodation through the roof so no other viable options.
The pros - great town to stock up on supplies, seems to have lots of eating options for dinner/drinks if you have a driver.
