Pendleton had everything we needed and we were very comfortable though one of the beds had a soft mattress but this is a personal comment. It is very well placed for shops and sea. Many interesting places to visit.

Fabulous stay
So close to the town center and the beach. Perfect. Street parking is of course a lottery but we always found somewhere on a near street. Only complaint which are both small….. no oven glove and one set of bath towels short. Lots of hot water. Comfy beds. Well stocked kitchen for cooking stuff. Lots of seating in lounge. Would highly recommend.

Lovely Stay
A lovely stay at Clarendon, with space for all the family. The Kitchen has more than you can need regarding utensils and cooking equipment. Bedrooms are large and spacious. If you’re lucky you can get street parking outside the house. Only downside we felt some of the furnishings is a little outdated and walls could do with a touch of paint (but that’s just our opinion some might say it adds character). Overall a wonderful long weekend away!
The house is lovely and in just the right position in town to be close enough for everything and yet still far enough off the Main Street to be quiet.
The only downside of the top room having such a big window is that it can’t be opened so that got quite hot and the only way to keep it at a reasonable temperature was to keep the bathroom window open and all the doors to try and get a bit of a breeze in.
Would quite happily rebook on a return to Sheringham.

Great holiday home
Lovely holiday home. Well equipped, comfortable beds, fantastic kitchen had everything we needed for a great family holiday.
We enjoyed our stay at Clarendon. Everything we needed was to hand in the house and it’s location close to the centre of Sheringham was ideal.

Clarendon House is a lovely property, located very close to the main street, pubs and the beach. It is very well equipped. We had a few issues about the cleaning earlier on. And the kettle stopped working, but after a telephone call to keys estate agents, we picked up a brand-new one from the office all

Perfect for what we needed
We loved this place.
There was 6 of us staying for the annual family gathering (86 of us) and there was plenty of room for us and if another 4 stayed it wouldn't have been a problem.
This place had charm, original fittings and a lovely feel to it. Yes there were a few knocks and scrapes but this is what happens with a holiday house, all those cases going up and down stairs etc.
It had all we required including a wine/bear cooler which impressed the son in law and the welcome gift was gratefully received.
Parking may have been an issue but the neighbours briefed us of the open reach car park across the way which everyone uses and we kept another car by the seafront to save us bringing back beach stuff on a daily basis.
It was ideal for what we needed and I booked it again part way through the holiday because so many family members popped around and were so impressed I thought they were going to book it themselves!
Many thanks

poor visit to Sheringham
Our local friends swept own the front door and path prior to our arrival
the houae had not been cleaned for some time - dust and cobwebs
some bedrooms had no wardrobe or mirrors
one bed in twin room had a hollow in the mattress
a three storey house with no fire regs is illegal - ENGLISH Building Regulations
After returning home we looked up reviews on expedia etc - it says it all
the owners should buck their standards and make the house worth the money
We booked Clarendon for a week by the sea with our children and grandchildren. It’s location just of the main shopping area with shops, bars, etc. proved perfect for our needs. It’s also a very short walk down to the promenade and the sea.
The house itself was perfect for our needs, with most of the bedrooms and spacious, well appointed bathroom on the first floor plus further bedroom and shower room up on the second floor.
We had a minor issue with heating (our misunderstanding not significant) so had reason to call the hosts, who were charming and took the time to call back the next day to ensure our issue was resolved, so would unreservedly recommend them as hosts for a future stay.
Being a large group we arrive in 3 separate cars, but we’re still able to park in the local streets, so my concerns that we may have to leave our vehicles in the nearby car park were unfounded. That said if it had proved necessary the cap park is a very short walk away.
We would definitely consider returning the next time we want this kind of break. Highly recommended.

Comfortable spacious house
We loved the house and (almost) everything in it, and the location - very quiet, but close to main street and beach.
A few things could be addressed to make it even better: 1) the bedroom on the second floor was almost un-usable during the very hot spell of weather we had (30 degrees outside), due to both windows being un-openable, and the lack of proper blinds to keep out the sun. Those things could easily be remedied. 2) The wooden clothes-horse in the utility-room stained some damp clothes placed on it. 2) A large plastic tablecloth would be useful, to cover the wooden dining-room table when young children are staying. 4) The plantings in the yard outside were a little overgrown, and rather impeded our use of the space (which is quite small anyway) - some trimming back before guests arrive would be helpful.

Great Christmas House
Perfect house and perfect location - we stayed here Christmas 2022 and it was amazing, upon arrival we found a hamper packed with goodies, the house is lovely, its very spacious and very well decorated, yes the house is old and lived in but we loved it especially with young children , the area of Sheringham is a little Gem, once we parked up and settled in we didnt use the car until we left. supermarkets about 5 min walk away, plenty of local shops and restaurants, the beach is a 5 minute walk away and is lovely.
Welcoming large family holiday home with everything you could possibly need. Very comfortable beds with fresh linen and towels. Prime position with easy walking distance to all of sheringham’s lovely amenities. Was lucky and got parking near. Benefits from little enclosed patio garden.
A good property in all respects save that it needed a better clean (dusty and shower drains had to be cleaned out by us before they could be used). This was reported to the agent, Keys who acted upon it.
Otherwise a very good property with an excellent modern kitchen and utility room.
Windows had been nailed shut, this was of particular concern in the loft room-
a. Because it got impossibly hot there.
b. Because it posed a safety issue as it blocked a means of escape in the case of fire. Not sure if this is a health and safety issue in a rented property, should be checked.
Regardless of the above we all had a great holiday and would consider returning.
The house is in a fantastic location and we were fortunate enough to be there during a heatwave. The only downside to this is that the bedroom windows on the top floor did not open at all and it got VERY hot in there. Potentially not a problem for the majority of the year, but not great in the summer!
The rest of the house is well equipped, but slightly run down in places (the dining room table has a huge bow in it). However, I wouldn’t let this put you off as overall it all worked fine.

Enjoyable stay
Our family of ten arrived from Canada for a stay. We enjoyed staying at the Clarendon. The house was as advertised and accommodated us all. It was well equipped and provided everything we needed. We found the small fridge a bit difficult with ten people, even with a separate small freezer, but we managed. It was beautiful weather in Sheringham and upstairs was very warm, we wondered why we couldn’t open the windows in the top bedroom, they were painted shut, was this a safety thing, if so it would have been nice to have a fan up there. We would definitely stay there again.
Roomy house for group of 5 friends in great location with loads of crockery and pans. Beds all very comfy and all the rooms spacious. We would come again and recommend. Parking at the railway car park was easy quick walk away.
Cleaning mostly good throughout the house but we feel the floors could all do with good scrub.
