The staff were lovely, very friendly and accommodating, allowing an early check in due to the timing of a celebration we had travelled for. The breakfast was delicious with lots if gluten free options; even pancakes! I would definitely stay there again.
What a great hotel. Can't say enough positive things about my experience. Room was lovely, clean, good value, great location and ambience, but the service and food were even better.
I had early starts both mornings of my stay and it was not too much bother for Helen on the front desk and Paul?, the chef to open the kitchen slightly early for me. The food was wonderful and good value and Helen couldn't have been more helpful. This is what an independent hotel / restaurant should be like. Thanks to the team for a wonderful stay. I'll be back.
A basic but clean hotel that was perfectly located for the area of Sheffield I was visiting. Rooms are relatively small but for one/two nights are fine, hotel staff are friendly and helpful and it is excellent value. Don't expect ultra luxury or lots of facilities but would definitely use again.

Very welcoming staff. Room lovely just mattress was a bit firm for me.
Parking no problem
Lovely location
Comfortable stay, friendly staff, clean and well-maintained. Bed was a bit hard for my liking (but maybe that’s personal preference) and there was a decent bit of road noise. Bathroom was nice. Good location near Eccles hall road and not too expensive!

The stay at the Psalter Hotel was an extraordinary experience. All the staff were exceptionally friendly and professional. We felt welcomed into a family rather than a Hotel. Nothing was too much trouble. The food, the cleanliness and cosiness of the rooms were all first class. There was an added ingredient which made this hotel stand out from others.., a chef that made the most delicious focaccia, eggs royal and vegan breakfasts. The creative flare in the decor and displays, a Halloween theme was marvellously original… This little hotel gives any guest a little piece of heaven …. Thank you to everyone for making our stay so wonderfully special… we will definitely return.

We booked a small double room and were really surprised at how big it was. The room was spacious and well maintained with plenty of clothes hanging space and a lovely modern en suite. It was spotlessly clean and plenty of tea and coffee supplied. A really comfy bed/pillows and also a tv. We pre booked breakfast of which there was a good choice and the full english was delicious. We didn't eat from the evening menu as we were attending a wedding, but a couple we spoke with at breakfast said that the food was amazing!. The staff were very polite and friendly. We parked in the car park around the back of the hotel where there was plenty of space.I would definitely stay at the Psalter again.
Beautifully presented hotel, was greeted with a lovely friendly welcome.
Food was exceptional and restaurant staff were superb!
When leaving, lady gave no acknowledgment, didnt ask if I enjoyed, nothing, not a nice woman.
Rest was superb
Nice local neighbour hotel recently renovated.
Room was quite compact, but was advertised as such so was not a surprise. Was very clean and comfortable which was all I was looking for. Would stay again.
Didn’t need to speak with the staff much at all, but whenever I did they were very helpful and polite.

Great place to stay, great location.
Couldn't fault the staff and service we received.
A little disapointed the restaurant only served small tapas sharing plates. We enjoyed what we did have but wiuld have preferred an option for a main meal.
We had an amazing stay! Very new and cute hotel with some personalized touches. Really like it! Free parking, too. The mattress was the best we ever slept on in ages! Very nice and firm. Really appreciate the heated towel rack that was actually left ON ALL THE TIME so that we could have nice dry towels any time. Breakfast was superb and the bistro/restaurant was nice hang out place for a drink, too. Definitely worth it!
Very comfortable and clean room, friendly, helpful and professional staff. Quiet area and quiet at night - road busier in the day but not a problem unless you were having a very long lie in! One night stay whilst at a local music gig (Jazz at the Lescar) for which the Psalter was convenient and very pleasant. Good value. Would stay again.
