"A peaceful setting in a totally rural area. Very helpful hosts and classic historical Framlingham only two miles or so away. Three fantastic rural pubs serving trad. ales and good food at the Victoria, Earl Soham, the Kings Head Laxfield and the Station Framlingham. Suffolk is always the perfect antidote to busy, noisy, light perluted town life."

"The cottage was a modern cosy cottage with all amenities that you could ask for, modern bathroom and kitchen with everything you could need for a short or long stay, the bedrooms were of a nice size, both doubles. Good internet access and a tv in livingroom and bedrooms. The nice touches i also liked where towels left for us and milk, eggs, bread, crisps and chocolate and also tea, coffee and sugar...they had thought of everything. The garden/patio area was lovely, comfortabe seating and canopy...fields to the right and left of the garden with beautiful sunsets, didnt get up early enough to see the sunrise...also a very peaceful setting...beautful. "We absolutely love the set-up of Lantern & Larks and have stayed on 3 different sites. The Sweffling site is a favourite as the location is so close to the coast and the lovely towns of Southwold & Aldeburgh. Nothing is too much trouble for Andrew who lives on the farm onsite and is always available. We travel as a large family group (plus dog) and book 3 properties on the site, the kids are free to roam and the tents are well equipped for everything you need. There's a decent shower and separate loo, a lovely woodburner for the chilly evenings - with a plentiful supply of logs you can get from the log store (included). There's a gas hob for cooking/making a cup of tea, but also an open fire outside that you can BBQ on (bring your own charcoal, or can purchase in the shop). The beds are comfy & cosy too. The honesty shop is well equipped, you can plug your charging banks in to recharge, but they also provide rechargeable lanterns, plus frozen 'hot' water bottles which you can use to chill the cool boxes (x2) that are provided in the tents. "I stayed at The Stables from a Friday night to the Monday morning in November 2024. Bill and Sarah were warm and welcoming both on the phone, giving me good directions and in person. Our stay was comfortable, the cottage was immaculately clean, well equipped and well situated for visiting local sights. When we were getting ready to leave on the Monday morning, Bill noticed that I had a flat tyre on my car, he offered to take it off and then take it to the local tyre place to have it fixed, luckily I only needed for it to be pumped up and I got it to the tyre place myself. I could not recommend the The Stables enough and will be returning myself in the future."
