This was a lovely guesthouse, located very close (400m or so) from the cliff lift, and it was a short stroll to the old village. We were met upon our arrival by Jackie. She was very welcoming and helpful, she was amazing. The room was lovely, ours was newly decorated with a beach theme and consisted of a double room, leading onto a room with a double bed and further onto a bathroom with shower. The continental component of the breakfast had a great variety, and there was an amazing cooked breakfast also. Jackie catered for vegetarian and allergies terrifically well, my wife particularly enjoyed the vegetarian spinach and egg bake. Jackie even provided plant based spread and yoghurts for my daughter. I was really impressed that the room offered coffee bags, much better than the instant stuff, and a cafetiere was also provided alongside the breakfast. Sterling work. The provision of children's books in the room, and variety of games in the breakfast room and books for adults were also readily available. We were very appreciative of the provision of beach towels, which we put to good use at the beach. We enjoyed a terrific weekend here and would throughly recommend it to others.

Avril and Denis were great hosts. Property is located very close to Shanklin Beach and a short walk from the town. Free parking was a huge plus. The family room was comfortable for the three of us. Would happily stay here again.

Worth paying a little more

I have had a number of frustrations at other places I have stayed and there were none of those here. The room was spacious, including the shower room. The area was quiet. The hosts were friendly but not intrusive. The heating system was adjustable and quiet. The breakfast was good quality. There was a nice lounge area if required. The location is great (assuming your are familiar with the hills of Shanklin seaside/

Nice B&B in hilly location.

B&B was nice and clean, nice welcome and the breakfast was more than adequate for the start of the day. However, the double bed in our room would need a new mattress as could really feel the springs and was not really that comfortable, sorry to be negative.

A welcoming B&B close to the clifftop & shops

A cosy and friendly B&B in a quiet corner near to the town centre & the beautiful clifftop promenade. We had a very warm welcome and our room & the public areas were spotlessly clean. It was an ideal place to stay. I recommend it.
