Futuristic hotel but staff lack experience
Amazing hotel but staff (seemed to be very few people around!) could be far more customer orientated/ friendly. And more food options for Westerners please! Convenient free airport shuttle was on time but driver didn't offer any help with loading/ unloading luggage!

okay hotel 15 mins drive from the airport
its an okay hotel 15 mins drive to the Pudong Airport. No-one speaks English, i know we are in China and i wouldn't expect everyone to speak English, but no one does. So make sure you have a translation app installed on your phone. Restaurant is only open till 8.30pm for full menu, restricted menu there after till 10pm the SPA only had one person working so if there are more then one of you you will have to wait. Oh and the massage was terrible. very average stay for a 5 star.... its actually a 4 star in my opinion.

The front desk said there would be two free breakfast, and they collected the money the next day. The front desk made a mistake!! It was 250 yuan more and the breakfast was light! The staff were rude and at times unhelpful. The hotel is beautiful, including the pool facilities which we attempted to use until I was told I was not able to swim without a swimming cap. This was not stated in the rules, and as such I felt as though I should not have to wear it. Additionally, a creepy staff member decided he would just sit and watch us, since we were the only people using the pool. Overall, the hotel itself is beautiful, and has so much potential. It was the staff who were the issue.

Nice well built new hotel . I loved the rooms and location . The property is super luxurious with Vegas grade amenities. Room was clean, beautiful and very modern . My coworker and I were offered free breakfast at check in as I think they are trying to gain customer recognition. Anyway, $70 for a room that could cost $300+ in US.

The hotel itself is great although a bit isolated. It is quiet, very clean and the 88 rmb per person buffet lunch is really value for money. Everybody was very helpful. However, the masseur from the spa was atrocious. She cames in with a black face probably not happy she was called upon to work. Half the time she was playing with her handphone while using the other hand to do some light press. I really wonder how such a nice hotel end up employing such horrible worker.

I used the Primus Hotel for a 24 hour layover at the Shanghai airport. It's a luxurious hotel with comfortable rooms. Not all the employees spoke English but they would direct me to someone who could. All were helpful and polite. One resourceful employee even tried a phone app which translated my question to Chinese and his answer to English and it worked for simple questions. The water flow in the shower would be illegally high in the USA. The light switches were fixed but wireless. My powered drapes did no work, though. Safety features included a flashlight and smokemask with air filter to protect your eyes and lungs in case of fire. Breakfast was buffet or room service. The buffet was 125 yuan but worth it just for the wide selection of food. I used Orbitz local language hotel name and address but the taxi took me to the nearby Qube hotel. There we got further instructions to reach the Primus. The taxi fare was 40 yuan. The front desk has the schedule for a free bus back to the airport. General Information: In terminal 1, the "transit without visa" is booth 2 at immigration. Look for the 24 hour sign. Don't get in big line with most other visitors. Form to fill out is in a lucite box on wall. Needs usual entry stuff plus hotel name, address and phone number. Entering this online ahead of time failed as airport machine was broken. Form given on plane was not needed. Changing money outside the baggage claim area is less bad than inside. I got 647 yuan after 40 yua

brand new hotel, very nice but far away from everything and shopping area is not ready, so you forget anything and need it, no way you can buy it therefore.
