Great location - Other parts just okay

The check in staff for us didn’t give the most warm welcome and limited information. We weren’t told about the gym or wifi - and that is normally pretty standard welcome info to be shared. The room temperature was constantly tough to balance - it was 24.5 degrees and wouldn’t go down beyond 23. This was my room and my colleagues. If you are sensitive to the smell of cigarettes these rooms, though now are non smoking , you can tell allowed smoking before. The breakfast is okay - a great view but staff don’t seat you - you find a table yourself and even get your own coffee. Also read the fine print as I got breakfast included with my stay but the check in member told me I only get breakfast for one day. Never had that before. Honestly the best part of this was the location - right along the bund and close to the needle, shopping and outdoor restaurants. The cleaning staff are very attentive and excellent. The front desk staff could be nicer and more welcoming.

전망은 좋습니다. 전에도 숙박했었는데 큰방의 전망이 훨씬 더 좋았습니다. 교통도 좋았습니다. 택시 잡기는 약간 시간이 걸린듯 합니다. 푸동 부근 주위 관광 하기에 딱 좋은 곳입니다. 주변 마트도 바로 근처에 있습니다.

I stay here once a year, as it is attached to the Shanghai convention center. The hotel is nice and close to many restaurants and attractions. There is nothing outstanding about the hotel other than location.

All that glitters isn’t gold

The hotel was very nice with updated facilities, but the service wasn’t the best. When we checked in, they told us we wouldn’t be able to leave our room between 3-9pm, so we opted into leaving in the afternoon and coming back at night. This was an inconvenience and the staff didn’t speak English, and they didn’t bother to use a translator, so we were never told why we couldn’t leave/enter. There was only one entrance, so we had to go around the entire hotel if we were walking along the Bund. As for their facilities, the staff yelled at us because we didn’t have swim caps and didn’t allow us to use or dip our feet into the water. They didn’t have or sell any extras, so it wasn’t a huge wonder as to why the pool was empty. There weren’t a lot of restaurants around the area and everything that was around had inflated prices since it was a touristy area. Overall, it felt like they had too many rules in place and weren’t very accommodating to American/English-speaking tourists.

地下鉄の駅からは結構歩きますが、場所的には良いところでした。 ホテルを出るとすぐに遊歩道。また、川の対岸に渡るトラム(?)の駅も目の前。 食事は歩いてちょっといったところにあるモールで済ませることが多かったです。

Wonderful stay!

I always enter a hotel with low expectations as photos on website are not usually what they really are. Guess what? This hotel is better in person than in the photos! I chose a Bund view room and was amazed by the beautiful sight from my bed and bathtub. I totally could have spent my whole day in instead of sightseeing LOL. The bathroom is open concept and gorgeous, although the sliding door is still quite see-through, so choose your room-mate wisely ;) The location is great - walking distance to metro (line 2) and malls with a wide choice of food. Wifi is available although the description here says wired internet. TV was ok but signal was lost intermittently. Very importantly, it's actually right beside the Oriental Pearl Tower and not along the Bund - hotels.com should really fix this. Overall, a wonderful experience. Kudos to the friendly and attentive staff!

Generally pleasant except the noise

Got a free upgrade. However, a construction site is right across the street. Loud noise can be heard in the very EARLY morning. Thanks to my jet lag. I was still able to manage a few hours' sleep.

Great location but misleading on some hotel sites....it is RIGHT NEXT to convention center. One site mentioned 18 minute walk. How about 1 minute. Also near Disney store and many large malls...5 minute walk. All and all great hotel at great location
