Better than the last time

The property condition is better than the last time I stayed 2.5 years ago. The location is very convenient, within walking distance to Metro station.

This property does not turn the air conditioning on in the spring or the fall so if you have a warm night and you need it cool to sleep don’t stay here. I inquired like four times and they told me they can’t turn the AC on yet because it’s centralized, but when you walk in the lobby it’s freezing in the hallways are freezing, but my room was warm. . Finally after not sleeping for two nights, I elevated to the manager and they fixed it and it lasted for about two hours and then went off again, so I had to call again and it lasted for about two hours and went off again. I need it to be a little cooler so if you’re OK with mid 70s to high 70s in your room you’ll be fine and it’s a great location and very clean and the staff is very nice I just don’t get not having air conditioning in China the first week of May. This has happened to me the last couple times when I stayed in May or October. Hope they fix it because I love the location.

從7月20住到8月6號總共17天 優點：獨立空調 有冰箱 有對外開啟的窗戶 打掃衛生阿姨親切認真 缺點：房間不夠寬敞 燈光昏暗 衛浴狹小 每天兩次出門 ，一次打掃衛生阿姨進 來打掃， 另一次出門回來的時候 窗簾 會被拉開 浴室燈被關掉 冷氣設定 也會變更 問了前台都說沒人進來過（ 出門時 房卡一直插著沒有拔走） 偶爾只出門一次一直待在房間 裡面的 設定都不會無故變動， 真的很奇怪

DAY LIGHT ROBBERY

The room was a bit small. I could not believe that i paid CNY52 for a soft drink in the bar, day light robbery to say the least. I expected to pay a bit more since it is a hotel bar so i did not look at the price upon ordering, but CNY52 for a can of 7UP is just absolutely ridiculous, the same would cost CNY3 in the shop.

Clean but never-ending Internet issues

As far as hotels in Shanghai go, the Equatorial is quite clean (which, if you've tried many hotels in Shanghai, you'll know is noteworthy) and the beds are comfortable. I live in a nearby city and whenever we come to spend time in Shanghai, we stay here but the internet connections almost always fail us. It's a problem at most Shanghai hotels we've tried. If you need to do work during your stay, you may need to choose a more expensive option.

Clean comfortable hotel in great location

Very convenient location at JingAn Temple, walking distance to metro station. It’s also the express shuttle bus departure/destination point to Pudong airport. The room and hotel conditions are average for this 4 star hotel. One annoying thing during my stay is often heard the staff talking loudly in the corridor, possibly due to the fact my room is too close to staff room
