A very nice stay

A nice hotel with very friendly staff. The room was spacious and comfortable. The included breakfast in the tapas-place close by was good. We walked to all the main attractions, including the cathedral.

We loved our stay at Alcoba del Rey, the hotel is a wonderful haven away from the main tourist area of Seville. It’s probably a 25 minute walk into town which is very interesting and passes through los Setas and through little streets to the Cathedral and Alcázar Real which are stunning. The rooms are beautifully decorated in Moorish style and very characterful. The breakfast is wonderful as is the food at Rositas in the evening. The little streets around the hotel are typical of the area being a little run down but the highlight is the Macarena church which is almost next door. We would definitely stay again.

Really enjoyed our stay at Alcoba del Rey. Staff was very friendly and helpful and gave excellent dinner recommendations. Location is a bit out of the way so taxi was best way to get to the sites. We also did not realize our room did not have a shower until we were already there - only a bathtub with a wand. Overall very charming hotel. Breakfast was good too.

Stay at Alcoba del Rey was satisfactory - reminded of riads in Morocco. The staff was very helpful in advising of places to visit ; enjoyed walking to places of interest. Breakfast was pleasant - Fabiola even accommodated our early departure and served breakfast prior to it.

The hotel is quite old, with dated decor. The bed was decent, but the room was dark and had a strong sewage smell. When I mentioned it to reception, the staff was kind and tried to help with incense, but explained that the sewage system in Seville is very old. Still, it's unpleasant to arrive in your room and be hit by that odor."

Our room was on the ground floor and the street outside was very noisy until late / early hours. There was no partition to the bathroom, no enclosure or even a curtain for the shower and the toilet was just in the corner behind a wooden screen.

Mindre hotel beliggende lidt langt fra byens kerne. En taxa var nødvendigt selvom det på hotel.com sælges som at ligge i inder centrum. Det er ikke korrekt. Noget slidt værelse i arabisk stil. Morgenmaden skulle indtages i en lokal bar ved siden af hotellet. Noget snasket, men sødt personale. Ikke stor udvalg. En lidt skuffende oplevelse set ud fra Hotel.com ´s billeder på nettet.

Die Lage hat uns sehr gut gefallen, es ist nicht weit in die Altstadt und es gibt in näherer Umgebung viele Bars und Cafés sowie einen kleine Supermarkt. Die Hotelparkgarage ist ein paar 100 Meter entfernt, aber gut zu Fuß zu erreichen. Das Frühstück war in Ordnung und wird in der kleinen Bar direkt im Hotel serviert. Das Personal war sehr sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.
