I received the access and Wi-Fi codes ahead of check-in, which made arrival super easy. The room and bathroom were clean and smelled fresh, and it was nice and warm when we entered. The bed was very comfortable, and I appreciated that they had a full cable channel package — great for relaxing after a long day. I also felt safe knowing there were security cameras outside each room. The location is just outside Orillia, so you’ll need to drive about 8–10 minutes into town for dining or groceries, which isn’t too bad. Some people might not love that it’s right along Highway 11, but earplugs were thoughtfully provided. Overall, a comfortable, clean, and convenient stay!

A little run down and a little noisy being right on the highway, but clean. Property manager was friendly, check-in and out were a breeze, plus having a little private patio out back was an added bonus.

Decent Stay, Could Use a Deeper Clean

Room was mostly clean, save for some cobwebs and a dead fly in the bathroom. Would have loved to see it cleaned a bit more thoroughly but not bothered. Convenient location for traveling through on a work trip. I liked that I got a code to my phone to check in which made checking in later a breeeze.

Perfect for motorcycle day touring. Located in the center of many good back roads and small towns. Easy access to Hwy 11, north or south. Has a small kitchen with frig, toaster oven, microwave, and even a Keurig coffee maker. The door has a digital key pad, so no worry about losing keys. The room is clean and bright. The bed is especially comfortable, nice sheets and blanket.It's a quick 8 km trip to Orilla for any supplies or dinning. Excellent value, I will definitely be back next time.

I liked the full fridge the bathroom looked renovated recently bed was comfy TV was great the room for the price was better then expected the heater was dusty needed cleaning the windows need cleaning on outside the property itself isn't the best it's beside a uhaul place the host is amazing and attentive

Everything you need. Loved that they had coffee cream in the fridge. Shower head is higher than most places, so great for tall people. Staff are very helpful and quick to respond. Patio in the back must be great in the summer.

Easy and smooth check-in. Very accommodating and much appreciated for the early check-in. Very friendly and welcoming. Basic as should be expected with a motel but the important things are good. Older space but the care and cleaning of the main items is evident. I would stay again.

Staff was very helpful when we had difficulty with the keypad. For the price it was fairly clean and had all we needed for a stop over. It was very noisy off the highway but they were considerate to provide earplugs. It was a positive experience for what we needed.

Happyland Inn

Happyland Inn was easy to check in and out of with a self service key pad. The room / space is big enough for a couple or with a small child. The bedding was crisp and clean, cable TV was easy to set up, although we were in town for The Psychedelic Furs at close by Casino Rama and didn't watch much. Bathroom was clean and has a tub with shower. Microwave and nice size fridge. Cons: there were a lot of Bees/flying insects on the back porch area and someone had left some food out there. Could use a bug zapper. Other than that, a great budget friendly stay. Thanks!

Motel room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Easy access and convenient location for our needs passing through. No need for front desk having the key coded door was handy as you could come whenever it suited you even in off hours. Back little patio was nice. Is close to the highway so the traffic noise is as expected

Very clean, comfortable bed, lots of towels - but - very limited furnishings - no place to hang clothes in the bathroom . Obviously a work in progress. The heating was either turned off or not functioning. Nice people but the area around was essentially a trailer rental lot.

We were just looking for a place to sleep for one night along our travels so we did not have big expectations. This location is right along the highway and met our needs. It’s quite old but very clean and clearly cared for. The check in & out was super convenient with no contact. They simply send a text with a door code and we left with a text. The bed was surprisingly comfortable. The highway is beside which is loud. They offer ear plugs that I did not use because the air conditioning unit hummed it out like a soothing noise machine. I could see this bothering others but it was fine by me. Overall for the price it matches the expectations. If you’re looking for more then you will pay more. Cheap, convenient stop and clean met my needs.
