About this property

Olympic Forager House + Cabin on tranquil Sequim Bay with hot tub & kayaks

  • The whole property, together — our main house and the cabin next door, both yours for the stay. It's the setup we built for exactly this: a big family gathering, a group of friends who want their own rooms but one place to cook and celebrate together, or a holiday trip where everyone can spread out during the day and land back at the same table for dinner. Kayak the bay, soak in the hot tub while the sun sets over the water, and use us as basecamp for Olympic National Park.

Two separate structures share this 2-acre waterfront property. The main house sleeps up to 5 across two bedrooms — a king loft upstairs, and a queen-plus-twin room downstairs — with a spacious living and dining area built for the whole group to gather. The cabin, just a short walk away, adds a private queen bedroom and a quiet office space, ideal for anyone who wants a little separation from the group, or an early bedtime while the rest of the house stays up.

Each house has its own fully equipped kitchen. Both also have their own deck: the main house's wraps around with outdoor dining, a gas grill, and the 6-person hot tub looking out over the bay, while the cabin's is a quieter spot for morning coffee or an evening read among the evergreens. Down the stairs, the shoreline is yours to launch from — three single kayaks, a double, two paddle boards, and crab tools are all included.

You'll reach the property through a private driveway at the end of the road. When you book this listing, both houses are yours — there's no separate host space to work around, so spread out however works for your group.

A few things worth knowing before you book:

This is our real home, not a 24-hour serviced resort. Like anywhere, occasional things need attention — and being rural means getting a repair technician out can sometimes take a little extra time.

There's a cliff down to the water, reached by a steep staircase — please keep a close eye on kids and pets.

Dogs are welcome. Please clean up after them, and keep them on the designated lawn area rather than the rest of the yard — we're restoring native plants on the property.

    Drive times to nearby attractions:

Hurricane Ridge / Lake Crescent — ~40 mi, 1 hr
    Rialto Beach — ~90 mi, 2 hr
Hoh River Rainforest — ~110 mi, 2.5 hr
Dungeness National Wildlife Refuge — 15 mi, 25 min

Sequim (Costco, Walmart, Safeway, QFC) — 6 mi, 10 min
    Port Townsend — 26 mi, 40 min
Port Angeles (Black Ball Ferry to Victoria) — 22 mi, 30 min

Olympic National Park is huge — wherever you're staying, expect real driving. We recommend one or two stops a day so there's time to actually enjoy the scenery.

Wonderful family trip - highly recommend!

The bay view was truly stunning – we enjoyed it every morning and evening. The peaceful location was still a quick drive to town and a convenient base for exploring Olympic National Park. It was absolutely perfect for our family trip, especially traveling with my in-laws. The separate cabin provided them some privacy, while the main house offered ample space for us all to gather and spend quality time together. Kitchen is well stocked. Wish we could have stayed longer! Would love to take the kayaks out and explore the bay. Highly recommend!

Very clean, updated decor. Beautiful location. Note the check in instructions/door codes for both houses. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Especially enjoyed sitting on the deck.
