"This was such a great find! We loved the experience of living in the heart of the old city, and found Colle to be charming, interesting, and not overrun by tourists. The home itself is lovely (it's got its quirks, like slightly iffy plumbing, but is clearly a beloved home with a charming personality), with wonderful views, comfortable spaces, and a kitchen that works fine for cooking at home if desired. "Overall, a decent place to stay near San Gimignano with lovely surroundings. The property has a beautiful garden and pool are and the breakfast was decent. That said, I was frustrated with the check-in process, the receptionist was also helping in the kitchen during dinner hour, so I had to wait quite a while to be checked in. Additionally, there was no one available to help with luggage, so I ended up carrying my bags up to the second floor myself. If you’re looking for a peaceful countryside stay with pretty grounds and don’t mind a bit of self-service, it’s a fine option. But service could be more attentive and organized, especially at check-in."
