"Lovely large and extremely well equipped house - it had everything we needed for a group of 7 adults. The space was well organised for a large group, with 3 ensuite rooms and a shared bathroom on the top floor. The outdoor area was great for both communal gathering and more secluded seating. Pool was small but very welcome.Guéthary is a friendly small town with several bars and restaurants. Great location for exploring the Basque region - San Sebastian is just a 40 minute drive away. "

It's situated in the middle of the town next to the police station which I was happy with because I felt safe leaving the motorbikes there ."

"The first room #16 was totally unacceptable with damp and mold settling around the vent. Not at all what we were expecting. After complaining we were upgraded to the largest room in the hotel which is what we thought we would get in the first place. The best part of the experience was meeting the chef, Olivier Lataste who created sumptuous meals for us. "

"La Frégate feels like a weathered beach lodge. It is clean and comfortable and the ocean view (and constant sound of the waves) is everything!
The staff is friendly and helpful. Breakfast was nice (for an additional €13) and the reception area features a full bar, where you can conveniently order a café or cocktail. The local buses go into Bayonne, Biarritz, Guethary or Saint Jean de Luz.
Bedding and bathroom were comfortable. I wish the balcony windows had screens, as small flies appeared on warmer days. But overall, it was a wonderful stay. We recommend this hotel. "
