"This hotel was a last minute choice. Let's start with a postive. Linens were clean and no bed bugs. Also, the carpet wasn't sticky when i took my shoes off to get into bed. Now to the rest. When you walk in it smells like grease. Like kitchen grease. The bar sign says it opens at 11am but it doesnt open till 5pm. No, I'm not trying to be at the bar at 11am but I enjoy having that chill atmosphere after the 3pm check in. This is not the place that will ever happen (we did end up going) 2nd, the room, the room had a moldy smell when we walked in. The ac unit was on 75 so we turned it to 65. Not because we like it cold but it helped refresh the musty smell. Yes, they have done a remodel, but it is the typical remodel of an old property. Basically, slap some paint on a pig. I could go in to more detail but basically to sum it up.. this is a place that locals rent a room to use the indoor pool. Have bday parties here. One cool thing is the fact they have a game room. There were parties happening in several rooms Definitely some "smoking" in rooms. Kids running/racing up and down the halls all night. Lastly, you will get lost at this place. Very poor signage unless you are trying to get to the 1st floor via the stairs. The 2nd floor is the main floor. I will never stay here again, just the pungent smell from the Indian restaurant located in there, and the greasy food smell from the bar food menu with a topping of the old hotel musty smell going on."

"breakfast was fine parking is safe but our room was not ready for our 4pm and we were not informed about this until we arrived to the hotel. We had to wait for 2 hours in the reception that was rather full. "

"The room was clean. We thought the staff at the front desk could have been friendlier and also kept up the coffee pots in the evening. We asked if there would be coffee and the staff member acted as though it was a issue for him. They also were not friendly when we checked in and put. The staff members we thought were friendly and nice was the lady who did breakfast and the janitor."

"Room was clean, however a little confusing to get to if on the first floor. We did not do breakfast but the set up looked nice. "

"I think the breakfast menu could be improved. The omelet was somewhat boring. The coffee--even the strongest kind--was a bit weak. But I've stayed at New Hope Inn and I plan to stay there again, so my complaints are minor. "

"This was a great experience. I need to decompress and the staff who checked me in asked the reason for my stay and did I have a particular floor I was looking to stay on. I stayed on the 8th floor. It was quiet, clean and extremely peaceful."
