A nice hotel for me and my daugther. We had a relaxing stay from the Alsace vine route reading our books in the gardens shade. Restaurents in Barr are in walking distance.

Tired and worn-out but good location

Good location in Barr and the host seemed quite friendly. A shame that the hotel generally seemed very “tried”, with low quality and old furnitures. Hotel generally seemed to be in need of a renovation and paint job. Big hotel apartment with kitchen but almost no plates, knifes etc. Why have a kitchen if it can’t be used? Toilet seat was cheap plastic that was loose and fell of several times. Two of the small windows in the room missed glass and added to the sad look. We tried both beds during the four days but both where very hard to sleep in. If this was a cheaper B&B it would have been fine but at around € 150 per night it was disappointing.

Local bonito e clássico. Cheiro ruim desapontou.

A primeira impressão foi muito ruim pois o hotel cheirava a esgoto quando entramos. O cheiro permaneceu durante a nossa estadia (uma diária). A banheira (chuveiro) apresentava alguma sujeira solta que lavamos para o ralo como chuveiro. Café da manhã bom, com variedade. O quarto muito bonito com decoração clássica e compatível com o estilo do hotel. Falta um frigobar (pequena refrigerador de quarto).

It was a great place to stay in and the location was very good as everything you needed was within walking distance. The owner was very service minded. The breakfast buffet was also very nice and tasty. Our dog was also very pleased with the big garden. We highly recommend this hotel.

Uii madame la duchesse !

Petit déjeuner qui fait plaisir dans un beau cadre, très bien entretenue. La simplicité et la gentillesse de l'accueil est inratable. Le maître de maison est discret et serviable, tout est dans le détail ici, un vieux piano parfaitement accordé, un grand arbre majestueux patriarche dans la ville, le balcon avec la vue sur les montagne. Au delà de la beauté du bâtiment romantique, les marches à faire au alentour vers les montagnes des Vosges sont très belle et faciles, nous avons passez 3 très belle journées avec notre chien. Beautiful place with nice rooms. We have booked 2 nights and with balcony which was a success. The rooms are beautifully decorated and with updated bathrooms. There is a nice garden too. The winery Klipfel is just across the street and a visit worth. Ask for Katia.

The breakfast was delicious and satisfying. It is walking distance to the center of the village. The room was smaller than it looked online and the bathroom was tiny. There was no mattress pad or liner so we could feel the stitching and edging of the mattress through the sheet. Overall, for the price, I’d go to a different village instead of Barr.

Het goede is de authenticitet, het slechte was dat er twee te kleine eenpersoons bedden op de kamer stonden. Bovendien vond een gast het nodig om om 04:30 op de krakende vloer boven onze kamer een wandeling van 20 minuten te maken.
