"A 5-Star Fraud – Do NOT Stay at Origin Lombok! We left after just one night because the experience was so atrocious, and I feel it’s my duty to warn others to avoid this place at all costs. "We were initially a little disappointed by the location of the hotel - which is on a main road and about ten minutes walk from the beach. There were other cheaper hotels closer to the beach which we hadn't found on the internet (but most of them didn't serve alcohol) - indeed we suspect we paid about double what we would have paid if we had booked locally for this hotel. However the hotel staff were great and we ended up having a really enjoyable few days - staff were very friendly and helpful....

"Wow, what a fabulous place to stay. An unexpected gem - we had a villa with a pool and it was fabulous. Heaps of space with a kitchen and sunken lounge. Batutu was just so easy from start to finish, all services are done via specific room WhatsApp- the food from the kitchen is delivered promptly, is well priced and is delicious. We hired a scooter and explored the area. Loved this resort and everything was top notch."

"+ huge king bed, nice airconditioning + glass bottled water and refillable water for guests + nice room and compound + spacious semi outdoor toilet + friendly staff + basic coworking space + quieter area of kuta lombok - some construction going but harmless - ⁠lighting in the room is too dimmed - ⁠some occasional squeaky noise from the roof but harmless - ⁠mosquitoes but there's mosquito net and spray provided Overall a very satisfied stay, value for money, quiet area, amazing experience!"

"Sikara was a perfect place for us to stay in Kuta for our honeymoon! The service was outstanding, the staff were all friendly and accommodating. It was walkable to the many shops and restaurants nearby, but far enough away that it felt private and quiet (even with a lot of construction in the area). We loved being able to rent motorbikes directly from the hotel! It was a good deal and allowed us to explore Lombok for daily surf trips. And then follow it with an in-room massage afterward? What could be better! We both agreed we wish we could have stayed here longer. "

"The photos that sold me on this place looked unreal. Nice Mediterranean looking accommodation next to the ocean. Amazing looking food, reviews stating how clean it was. But, this was 1973.. now it's run down & the uncared for. They ran out of toilet rolls & we had to source our own. The A/C & TV didn't work.. The rooms aren't serviced. The towels you start with, stay with you for the duration of your stay. No coffee /tea station in room.. the music from the bars on both sides & the doof doof crap seems to go all night..On the positive side, the pool was nice & clean beds to sleep in. Not too mouldy.. On the whole.. it's cheap & below average. "
