Nice apartment and area
Great location in Burien’s Three Tree Point, right across the street with access to your private small patio , right on the eastern shores of puget sound. Only 20 minutes south of downtown Seattle, this small 1 BR updated and spotless apartment. Great for a couple to see the sights all around the Seattle and surrounding areas with a private parking spot. You could hear footsteps from above apartment and cars driving by the street that is inches from the house. If you don’t mind some noise at night - which we did not - this was just as advertised. Kathy was easy to work with. We did all the touristy stuff in Seattle including the Space Needle, restaurants and breweries. Pike Place Market is worth walking around with plenty to do. Kirkland WA on Lake Washington was a nice area and we also enjoyed driving around Puget to visit Pouslbo “Little Norway”. We like to visit the city without staying downtown - there was plenty to do and see for our first tip to Seattle and surrounding areas and the location of this place was a good mid-point.

Restful Paradise
My husband and I had such a nice stay on this property. It was so quiet and very clean and tastefully remodeled and decorated. We had everything we needed, not a lot of clutter, very organized. Waking up to the view of the water and the Mountain was such a pleasure. We would definitely stay there again if available during our next visit to see our grandkids.

What a treat!
This place was beautiful and the neighborhood was charming. Unfortunately, a lot of our time was tied up with fun obligations that took away from our time to get to just enjoy the place. I could have stayed there for another week and would have been thrilled. I get another opportunity to stay there and get to savor all the amenities.

Going back in time
I was raised on Three Tree Point. My grandfather built the store. So at 77 years old going back to my youth of water skiing and salmon derbies, and having a tuna fish sandwich and mushroom soup Made by my grandmother in her store, nothing better. I would recommend this area to anyone who wants a taste of Puget Sound.

Great for overflow!
Live nearby and ran out of room for out of town family. This location is wonderful, the space is wonderful and having this option makes it so all can come at once. Those staying here love the privacy and gorgeous location. Thanks for a great space!

Good location. Comfortable home. If you want to disconnect , this can be ideal. Wi-Fi can be spotty sometimes, but Kathy is pretty experienced as a host. It was a pleasant stay.

Waterfront view is beautiful and relaxing. Quaint area close to small town. Very clean and perfect size for the 3 of us. Only complaint is the only seating in LR is the chaise couch which is very uncomfortable. And only one window had a screen on it so it was a bit warm without AC and not being able to open the windows.

My goal is to provide a 5-star experience for every guest. I have carefully considered your comments and wish to make improvements regarding the items that prompted a rating of less than. I personally tested the sofa chaise, and you are correct, it is no longer comfortable. I am in the process of purchasing a new one with comfort as a number one priority! The window type does not allow for easy installation of screens and summer temperatures do seem to be on the rise. For those reasons, I have purchased a new AC unit for the space. And for those days that AC is not needed, fresh ocean breezes can be experienced through the open windows without worry as there are no mosquitoes in the area.

Don’t Hesitate, Just Book It!
Best location in the city and the view is incredible. Very comfortable stay in July. Outside the busyness of the city, quiet, relaxing, and almost magical in how soothing it is. Great location to easily get up to downtown for a ball game or down to Tacoma to chill. The local store within a couple minutes walk is a must. Burien had the best restaurants and treats we had all 8 days we were in Seattle. Felt incredibly lucky to land this spot as our first ever visit to Seattle. I’ll never forget our stay here and will be back.

Pros: The home is great. Clean, modern. comfortable, safe. View of the water from home is nice. Cons: “beach” is not really a beach. Busy road separates home from beach. Most people drive fast and would be dangerous with small children. Outdoor area is ok. Grill is small and next to garbage cans. A bit overpriced. If you’re looking for a place to stay while you visit Seattle and surrounding areas then this is nice. But if you want this to be a destination location while you hang out at the “beach,” nah. This isn’t it.

Dear Keith, I appreciate that you found my rental comfortable, modern, clean and safe. All great pros. I also appreciate that you constructively shared your cons and I’ve taken your comments to heart (your 3 star review is my first after 139 consecutive 5 star reviews) and implemented improvements to the outdoor experience based on your input. In the outdoor patio area I’ve installed a second propane Weber grill, plus a dining table, chairs, umbrella and I’ve rearranged the firepit area into a more inviting space. As far as the beach goes, I was surprised by your comment that the beach is not really a beach. I respectfully disagree: this is a beautiful Puget Sound sandy beach with all the wonderful things that go with beaches in the Salish Sea. The tides around Seattle are remarkable –up to 16 feet daily – and this amazing dynamism is part of the charm of Three Tree Point. At low tide there is a large beach and at high tide there is just a strip of sand. On our beach you will experience wildlife, a shipping lane, beach wood, tide pools, and cool water temperatures that bring cooling breezes. I’m sorry you experienced drivers exceeding the speed limit on our narrow community road. During my 23 years of living here I have found that speeding is rare. Most drivers slow down for pedestrians, and also to take in the water and mountain views so visible from this road. Respectfully, Kathy

Fabulous waterfront getaway!
We very much enjoyed our stay at this special guest house right on the water. Morning sunrise and evening sunsets were not to be missed. The fire pit by the water was a great place to enjoy a glass of wine. We loved the modern, updated decor with high-end appliances. Kathy has great taste! Hope to return in the future.

This home was immaculate. We loved walking to the water just steps away.

The Burien area was beautiful and a nice choice to stay if you’re planning to tour around Seattle as well because you can enjoy the city, but then stay in a more peaceful, natural area away from the big city. Very clean downstairs condo. Three Tree Point is a fun, quaint seaside community.
The condo is located downstairs, street side (not seaside). I initially thought it was seaside because of the patio picture (my mistake). Patio is across the street from condo right next to the car garage. Cool place to sit and have wine and relax. (Note: This garage also blocks a lot of the view from the downstairs condo (upstairs condo might have a great view). Condo was very clean, but not the most welcoming. Nothing there to "greet" us like basket of goodies or bottle of wine. Wish there would have been more K-cups (we like 2 or 3 cups of coffee in morning) and wish there would have been decaf. Also, no tissues, just toilet paper and paper towels. Bed was soft, but comfortable. We were there at a very hot stretch and since the windows were only on the one side of the condo, we opened 'em all in the evening, but I think there was only one screen so spiders came in from the bushes right outside. Eek! Thankfully, not a bunch of mosquitoes or that would have been a big bummer. Town is totally seaside and awesome. Super nice to walk the road that runs between the houses and beachside, although a lot of folks have built garages on the seaside of the street. Lots of great places to eat that were a fairly short drive away. I thought the price was a bit high for the condo, but we still enjoyed our stay.

Great Launchpad For West Coast Adventures
My husband and I stopped in Seattle for a few days during our west coast hiking trip. This condo was the perfect launchpad for our Washington adventures. Easy drive to Mt. Rainier and a quick ferry to Bainbridge Island. The condo is also within walking distance to a wonderful neighborhood store/ coffee shop. The condo was spotless and well stocked when we arrived. Easy communication with our host. Lots of helpful tips. Highly recommend.

Beautiful little gem in Seattle
Beautiful neighborhood by the water, super close proximity to the airport (but without the loud noise), perched on generally quite and small/narrow street (though passing cars can be loud here and there), conveniently short distance to the local markets and highways and the apartment had pretty much everything you need for a short or a long stay. The host was very kind to leave a thorough instruction where you can easily access and also was very prompt to respond by text if you need anything else/ have any questions. You can see the beautiful water right outside the window and the fire pit area was extremely cute as well. Only thing might be that you could hear the upstairs guests easily when they’re up early or late, but that only bothered us a bit because we had a small baby with us who was sensitive to noises (and making noises himself). The bed was comfortable, the shower was good though pretty tight, the living room couch did roll out to a king sized bed, and kitchen was new and nicely equipped. The fireplace was a nice touch and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the place! Highly highly recommend this property to anybody who’s visiting Seattle but want to be in a low key setting with a nice view! Would love to try the upstairs property next time around - thank you so much again, Kathy!

A little piece of paradise in Seattle
The location of this property is spectacular. The beach is lovely, the community is friendly and the little store up the road is to die for. The accomodations in the unit were perfect for our family of four. It is important to note if you have little kids that the beach access requires crossing a road, which requires parental supervision. But we found more seashells than we could ever want and thourougly enjoyed the firpit at night. We will be back 100%! And the unit upstairs is also a rental so if you had a bigger group you could rent both!

Comfortable home, beautiful view
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Kathy’s place. The sun sparkling on the water and sound of the waves was wonderful to wake up to. Comfortable couch, comfortable bed, and the kitchen had everything we needed. We also loved the friendly neighbors and store around the corner - a community meeting place. We would love to stay here again!!
