Cozy with great location

Husky Hideaway is in a great location, walking distance to UVillage, Burke Gilman and Husky Stadium. It’s a cozy old home with 2 medium sized bedrooms and small kitchen but with everything you need.

Location only thing favorable

The house heater was not operational, the porch light didn’t work, and one light was out in the bathroom (we stayed here pre Pandemic and it was out then too). On the plus side, the kitchen is well stocked with appropriate appliances and the location can’t be beat!

Great for couples or a family

We loved staying here. The house is old and has a lot of charm. The area is quiet and very nice. Lots of good restaurants close by.

Lovely Stay

The place was cozy and very well located. We loved our stay and appreciated the simple check in and check out that the management company provided. We would be very interested in staying either at the same location or at any other property managed by Vacasa.

Cozy house in nice neighborhood

The house was cozy and comfortable in a nice neighborhood and in a great location (close to a bike trail, too). Manager was very responsive.

Charming and the Perfect Location

We loved the quiet neighborhood, the quaint and charming house, having a washer/dryer and the proximity to U Village, Mio Posto, Sea-Sun Coffee, Metropolitan Market and the Bert Gilman Trail. No car needed. The house was well stocked for staying for a short visit or an extended stay.

Great back deck. Cozy. Just what we needed. Kitchen sink faucet is leaking but an easy fix I imagine!

Just fine

We stayed at the Husky Hideaway because it is very close to the Seattle Children’s Hospital. It worked out well for us. The neighborhood is quiet. We could easily take walks.

Outdoor Area

Neighborhood and proximity to amenities is very good. The outdoor space lacks outdoor dining table and any comfortable seating. The deck needs TLC. Beds are comfortable.

Bryant bungalow

This place is convenient to the Bert Gilman Trail, U Village, Metropolitan Market and our kids! The beds are comfortable, the kitchen is fairly well stocked and the sitting room is cozy. The linens are fine and there are plenty of blankets. Don’t expect fancy, it’s an older, small house that could use some updates.

Needs a little updating

Great location but the furniture and decor are a little old and worn out. Needs kitchen utensils, plates etc…

Wonderful older home!

August 10-19, 2018 my husband, daughter and I stayed in this small, but cute home in a beautiful neighborhood. Very nostalgic, wood floors, open windows and screened doors with a nice breeze; doesn’t get much better. Clean with comfortable furnishings. Only suggestion would be to have labeled trash cans inside for out of towners since the laws are so strict on recycling. Looking forward to our next visit.

Charming house and neighborhood close to everything

This little house was perfect for our needs. I visited with my 2 teenagers for college tours and athletic events at UW, and it was the perfect home-base for the week. It's tucked away in a quaint little neighborhood - with tree--lined streets and cafes within walking distance - -and within minutes of Husky stadium and UW practice fields, shops, restaurants, grocery stores. We also enjoyed close-by Magnuson park for evening strolls. Many places are entirely walkable from the house, but a rental car was necessary for our needs. We hope to stay here again.

Perfect location, fun little home with great deck area

My two daughters and I stayed here for the better part of a week and were very comfortable in this charming little house. The location was great for us - a few minutes from local shops/UW or Childrens Hospital and less than 15 minutes to downtown Seattle. It was very clean and had everything we needed to prepare meals, do some laundry and it also had a nice back deck with a BBQ. The photos are accurate - one bedroom is a queen bed and the other is a double. No air conditioning, but fans are provided and all the windows operate nicely and have screens.

No Code

Great location. Don't need a car. I didn't receive the 10-digit access code before I arrived and had to call Vacasa to get a backup code. Fabulous deck

If being close to the UW campus is important...

I wouldn't recommend this listing to anyone that is hoping to spend a lot of time hanging out at the house. The house isn't in good condition and pretty outdated. My group mostly just used it as a place to sleep, which was fine for us. The house is in a quiet neighborhood with easy parking. Short drive to restaurants in the neighborhood. I wouldn't stay here again if given the choice, but it may work for some groups. Particularly if you want to be close to the University of Washington campus.

Charming Bungalow

Our first trip to Seattle! We found this to be an immaculate cheerful home with a fabulous backyard, located on a very quiet street only a short drive from the University of Washington and public transportation. There are two large grocery stores nearby, and a variety of shops. We were always able to find parking right in front of the house. We did a great deal of sightseeing, and it was nice to come home at the end of the day to this darling little bungalow. The only issue we had was the kitchen faucet, which tended to drench us every single time we used it. A small complaint and not one that would keep us from highly recommending this home to other travelers.

Unacceptable

After first two promised properties were unavailable we we offered what seemed to be a college frat house. Dangerous, Dirty. It’s almost hard to comprehend this property was offered to anyone.

Cute Bungalow Near UW

The husky hideaway is a cute 2 bedroom, 1 bath bungalow that is perfect for 3-4 people (1 Queen/1 double bed). It is an older home complete with squeaky wood floors (like many homes in the area) and simple and interesting eclectic furnishings. If you are looking for new and modern look elsewhere. A few things in the home could use some updating or replacement but if you don’t plan to spend a lot of time inside it is reasonably priced and is close to UW and lots of food, shopping, etc. The street is very quiet, there is ample street parking, and the Wifi worked really well, There is no a/c (typical in Seattle) but Vacasa furnished us with a fan at our request which was much appreciated. Overall, if you don’t mind a bit older but comfortable place to stay, the husky hideaway is a great deal!

Perfect Home Base for Exploring UW and Seattle

We recently stayed at Husky Hideaway for our visit to the University of Washington and city of Seattle. It was perfect! We were in a great neighborhood very close to UW and the light right into downtown Seattle. We even enjoyed exploring the local restaurants and shops in Ravenna and University Village. The home itself is very comfortable with a nice kitchen and bath and everyone slept great in the beds. We loved the charming character of the home, with a sort of bright, beachy, nature, feel to it. It was very peaceful and offered the perfect respite from our city adventures. It looks like the back deck and yard would be great in the summer time for relaxing, and enjoying nice Seattle weather (it was very rainy for our visit). We will definitely plan to stay again at Husky Hideaway on our next visit, and were even talking about visiting for a UW football game in the fall! Go Dawgs!

Nice little house, could use some updates

Nice little house in a great area. It is looking a bit tired though and could use some updates. The bathroom floor is peeling up badly, the kitchen is very old and does not have a dishwasher. There was an electric lazy boy chair in the lounge that was broken and would not recline. We also could not operate the gas fireplace. The central heating did work adequately though. One confusing thing was that there are signs around the house from the old management company, not Vacasa. One of these signs talked about needing a parking permit which it seemed we did not need.

Convenience and comfort

This is a nice spot a little north of the UW area with easy walking access (6-10 blocks) to dining, shopping, and a couple grocery stores. Its a quiet neighborhood. The house is no frills and the lack of tv in the living room and a single deck of cards made for unexpected but welcome family time. Wifi is fine if you have to stay plugged in or amused, also a large tv with cable in the master bedroom. The water stayed plenty hot with good flow for 3 consecutive showers (there were only 3 of us). The beds are comfortable. My only suggestion would be a sofa bed in the living room or at least something long enough to put your feet up. Stayed with my father and my teenage son so sleeping arrangements were not ideal but I knew that going in. Luckily we were all exhausted each night after time in the city or points north and south of Seattle. Would definitely stay again.
