"We stayed for two nights after booking what was advertised as a four‑star relaxing luxury spa hotel with spectacular views. Unfortunately, our experience fell far short of those expectations. On arrival, the hotel was clearly under renovation, with builders present and brick dust throughout parts of the property. The hotel is also located directly on a very busy main road, which significantly impacts the sense of peace and relaxation. While the reception and restaurant areas appear to have been recently refreshed, the remainder of the hotel feels tired and run down. We paid extra for a suite advertised with lake views; however, these views are only visible if standing up. When seated, the view is completely blocked by the wooden balcony. The balcony furniture was broken and unusable, and there were cobwebs above the bed that gave the room a neglected feel. The bathroom was extremely small, to the point that toiletries had to be stored in the bedroom, and there were visible holes and marks on the walls. Noise was another issue, with very thin walls and constant traffic noise from the road. The outdoor areas were unusable due to overgrown weeds and stored building materials, and there was no dock as shown in the hotel photos. The outdoor spa was closed due to the building works, and although indoor spa facilities were offered instead, guests had to walk through the hotel in swimwear as the changing rooms were also closed. "Lovely clean kings size room with own patio to sit and enjoy the sun. There’s about 4 different areas to park at . Staff very helpful and with a smile when serving also a bar and lounge to sit, we didn’t use it but it’s there"

"This is our second visit to this hotel. It is well placed for wandering around the area and boat trips. The bedroom was spotless and bed comfy. All staff friendly and attentive. Breakfast was fresh and tasty with plenty of choice "

"We had a relaxing couple of days. The staff were first class. Our room was clean & spacious with a lovely double kingsize bed. The service was spot on the food was of good quality,fresh & local I believe.the spa facilities are good and inclusive with extra treatments available for a fee. We came away from there feeling relaxed & refreshed. Would we go back…yes Would we recommend…yes Is there room for improvement..if there is, not by much."
