After reading all the reviews about 1692 we were not let down. Faith and her staff could not have done any more. Room was immaculate as was the the whole building and tastefully decorated.would highly recommend Wasdale and will definitely go back thank you Faith

A very special place
A wonderful stay at a truly beautiful property. The care and craftsmanship that has been given to the restoration of this farm steading is evident throughout the building. The room we had (Fells) was one of the nicest spaces I've stayed in. Huge room with gorgeous bathroom on a mezzanine above. Hot tub after a long day on the fells was also a lovely addition! Breakfast was superb and staff were attentive without being intrusive - particular mention to Juliet who couldn't do enough. Will be back!

Best b&b ever!
Gorgeous boutique b&b with all the extra special touches - honesty bar with local crafted beer; nespresso machine; toiletries and 5 star breakfast experience. The owners did not scrimp on the furnishings and thought of everything, would highly recommend!

Amazing stay at 1692 Wasdale, will definitely be staying there again if ever in the west lakes for hikes. Would recommend to anyone. The rooms are stunning, amazing views from the hot tub (make sure you call to book a slot). We even got to feed the alpacas after speaking to Faith about them. She chopped us up some carrots to take out to them.

Wonderful 1692 Wasdale
Had a Fabulous short stay at 1692 which definitely met all of our high expectations. Stayed in the Cairn suite which was exactly as described, the bath was a much needed extra and a delight after walking up Scafell Pike. Breakfast was devine with everything you could possibly want from continental or cooked. Cleanliness was second to none and this coupled with all of the above and the friendly warm welcome we received I could not recommend 1692 more highly . Its definitely worth a visit 😁 we will be back x x

Herdwick Suite
The best place to stay after hiking Scafell Pike. The place is quiet, peaceful, clean and new. The STAFF was amazing, friendly and helpful. Definitely coming back one day for another stay. Thank you :)

Very pleasant stay, couldn’t fault the hotel at all. Beautifully decorated with an eye for detail. The room was comfortable and tastefully decorated. The hot tub with views overlooking the mountains was just perfect. Breakfast was superb with wide range to chose from.100% recommend.

A beautiful friendly stay
The most beautiful hotel with lovely hosts made for another great stay. Rooms are tastefully decorated with all mod cons and top comforts. Breakfast is delicious and plentiful. Lots of nice touches such as cakes and the honesty bar makes the stay here so much more than most places.

We had a wonderful stay for our anniversary & we have booked for my mum & dad to stay for their anniversary in October. Everything was perfect from the room to the staff. Hotel is fantastic, finished to an exceptionally high standard. The honesty bar is a great touch, with huge selection of drinks. The breakfasts and the daily homemade cake by Faith are top quality produce!! Faith, Steve and Al are amazing hosts, always wanting to ensure your stay and enjoyment are their highest priorities, taking their time and getting to know each client personally. Location is extremely tranquil and relaxing!! We have already enquired about returning in the summer and would recommend anyone else who is thinking about this hotel, to book immediately. You will not be disappointed!

An amazing B&B in a beautiful part of the Lakes
I can’t recommend this B&B enough and it is one of the best places we have stayed. Faith and Steve have put so much effort into making it special and their passion really shows. They have really thought everything through and planned the rooms and space available making unique. Each room has been individually designed and has its own outdoor area. The rooms are so comfortable and clean with a coffee machine and kettle. The breakfast was superb with lots of options, hot and cold. There are also communal areas available, including a large lounge and a further room that has a table tennis table in but can also be used as a film room. The location is beautiful and close to many places to visit in the Lake District. There were so many nice touches as well, we got back from eating out and there was a cake out for people to help themselves to and eggs at breakfast come from their own hens when these are available.

Really lovely B&B, very friendly and welcoming hosts. The rooms are very comfortable with everything you could need. It was unfortunately raining and misty when we were there but the surroundings are lovely and the perfect place to enjoy a rainy afternoon! Delicious food - would definitely recommend.

Hidden pearl of the Lake District
1692 Wasdale was the highlight of not just our visit to the Lake District but our entire holiday, which also included the Gotham and the Lowry in Manchester and the Montcalm in London. This place blew them out of the water. If we lived in the UK and not on the other side of the world, we would have already booked regular stays for the rest of the year. As it is we will be visiting again when next in England. It's immaculately clean and well fitted out. Every inch of the place speaks to the thought and care that went into it's design. From the custom made beds to the deep luxurious bath, it's obvious that someone cares about your comfort. It really is the people who run a place that makes the difference between a good stay and an amazing experience. Faith and Steve are a down to earth and easygoing couple who really are the quintessential hosts. Just book.
