"We were SO lucky to score a last minute reservation at Aloe B&B! Our flight was cancelled late in the evening and Dirk, Mariel and family warmly welcomed two very tired travelers. The property is gorgeous including the gardens and pool area (our favorites!). Our room was spacious, spotless and stylish. The location is perfect as a walkable grocery allowed us to prepare a late night meal in our kitchenette. We will happily return to our home away from home and give Bella a few extra hugs. Thank you for hosting us!"

"I really enjoyed my stay at Victoria City Hotel and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to others with the following information: Location: Victoria City is a little ways out of Oranjestad in an area that looks a little bit run down. There are great restaurants very close (Peanuts), but overall you probably won't be spending a ton of time right nearby. The street is lively and as other reviews mention there will be overnight noise from cars and a local nightlife spot. Room: Small, but clean with a comfy bed, full bathroom and everything you need to be comfortable. Property: The rooftop lounge is amazing and the 2nd floor is setup to easily flow from inside to outside. This area was well used by guests and is a great spot to make yourself a tea or coffee, grab some water and hang out to plan your day or relax after a day of exploring. The hotel is laid out with rooms on 2 floors and is connected to a restaurant from the lobby. I recommend the restaurant for breakfast - its a great meal and they have friendly staff! To note: I saw this in some of the other reviews as well; for some reason the bathroom windows have clips installed that will not allow them to fully close and be sealed shut. I assume this is to help with moisture management. I was on the 2nd floor so this wasn't a security concern for me, I saw some people on the first floor mentioning windows that couldn't close/lock and this would be a security deal breaker for me and also affected overnight street noise."

"Excellent location. Friendly staff and nice grounds. À diamond in the rough. The Old Monastery has good vibes. Pool was a great. Grocery store close and à 10 minute walk to Renaissance centre. Safe neighbourhood. Also able to walk to Surfside beach."

"This is a fantastic apartment complex for rental! It is a perfect location if you don’t like crowds and the craziness of a now built up, Aruba! It is clean and safe and roomy! You get so much space for your money. We rented a two bedroom in January and having the kitchen was phenomenal! We ate breakfast and lunch in every day and went out for a beautiful dinner in Aruba! There’s so much room with two bedrooms… Each of us had our own bathroom and a common living area with a big screen TV. This is fantastic. If you’re looking for space and no chaos! The pool was absolutely glorious and we also used the onsite grill to grill shrimp. The owners helped us turn the grill on… They are anlways available to help with anything that you need! There’s also an on-site washer and dryer. They worked fantastic!We were able to rent beach chairs from the hotel and also a car from the hotel. They gave us a great deal on the car and we were able to take our chairs to the different beaches every day. If you want to see Aruba like a local this is the closest you’re gonna get. The staff is fantastic and we’ll get you anything you need! I’ve stayed in many different properties on the island and this was by far my favorite! Just make sure that you get a rental car and you will be fine! You will have a phenomenal vacation without the crowds!!!"
