Pessimo!

Il gestore si è comportato malissimo. Arrivati sul posto dopo aver fatto 200 km mi ha accusato, con soldi alla mano, di aver cancellato la prenotazione e quindi non aveva una stanza! Ma stiamo scherzando?! Ha lasciato me, mia moglie e mia figlia di 19 mesi in balia del sole. Non si lavora certo in questo modo! E umanamente non ci si comporta così! Davvero molto scorretto! Sconsiglio vivamente di andarci!

Camere vista MURO. Niente reception. Non si è visto nessuno. Scale ripidissime e strette, scarsissima luminosità. Materasso scomodo. No breakfast. Insomma da evitare.

Good Value for Location

This hotel is a good value for its location. The only thing I would recommend to the management is an upgrade of the mattress in the room. There was nothing wrong with it but we prefer the newer foam mattresses. We intend to stay at this Le Piccole Grotte again.

Truffa. Dopo aver contattato l'host per conferma nei giorni precedenti, ricevo una telefonata in un Italiano maccheronico la sera prima della partenza dove ci proponevano di soggiornare a Bagnara Calabra almeno la prima notte a causa di un guasto idraulico. La faccenda non mi convinceva, ma nonostante le mie ripetute domande la struttura ha sempre negato l'overbooking. Mentre attendo eventuali aggiornamenti sul fantomatico idraulico, scopro da altri ospiti del nuovo hotel che eravamo ben in 7 ad essere stati spostati (le stanze delle piccole grotte sono 5, quindi trattasi necessariamente di overbooking). Sconsigliatissimo. Poca serietà, specchio di gran parte della regione (non tutta, per fortuna) in cui sono nato.

Bed, no Breakfast

L'insegna dice 'Bed and Breakfast' ma poi ti dicono che sono 'affittacamere' e quindi niente colazione. Ok. Nei servizi è menzionato il Parcheggio. In realtà il parcheggio non c'è proprio, ti devi fare più di un kilometro a piedi con le valigie dal più vicino parcheggio 'custodito'.... all'ingresso viene sbandierato un fantomatico 'servizio navetta', ma se chiedi informazioni scopri che, come la colazione e il parcheggio, anche questo non esiste. Poi: la camera ha una bella vista sul mare, e questo è indubbio. Parecchio rumorosa fino alle 2 di notte. Chi non fa la doccia per primo la fa fredda. Il televisore non si accende. A parte questo, il paese e' bellissimo e vale il soggiorno. Quindi Scilla voto 10, Le Piccole Grotte 5-.

RISCHIO VIRUS COVID19

Pessima esperienza, luogo pulito non a norma. Colazione inclusa che non viene fornita ma pagata, con scuse futili. Al check-in chiamato per ore il responsabile nessuno rispondeva e nessuno ci apriva, dopo ben 35 minuti arriva un tizio, credo di origini senegalesi che non parlava italiano SENZA MASCHERINA A FARCI IL CHECK-IN, che non conosceva nulla. Momento colazione il signore non rispose più e non si fece trovare per lasciare le chiavi, ma solo il solito signore senegalese. Pessima posizione di hotel scomodissimo da raggiungere. Per lo più parcheggio inesistente e non è gratis o a strisce bianche come dicono loro, ma è a 2km lontano e scomodo con valige o passeggini. Sconsigliatissimo!

Please note I fully understand that this is not a 5 star resort.. Not properly stocked with towels or toilet paper. Air conditioner did not work properly. Sheets are clean and nice - Bedding cover is very old, worn and faded. Same with the furniture in the room.

The view is worth the walk

Scilla is an amazing town and the Picollo Grotto was perfect for experiencing old Italy. All the amenities and all the charm.

wunderschönes Hotel in bester Lage

Das liebevoll im Seemannsstil ausgestatte Hotel wird mit sehr nettem Personal und von einem sympatischen Chef geführt. Zum großen Sandstrand sind es ca. 10 Gehminuten. Mehrere nette Restaurants liegen im direkten Umkreis des Hotels. Der Vorteil mit der ruhigen Lage ist auch gleichzeitig der einzige Nachteil, nämlich die Koffer muß man vom Auto ca. 200 Meter und über einige Treppen zum Hotel schleppen.

Charming B&B in an old cobbled street

Le Piccole Grotte / La Locandiera is lovely. It's in the heart of Scilla's old town on a narrow, cobbled street barely accessible by car (if you're driving you'll have to park on the main road a good couple of street up the hillside) and a ten-minute walk from the beach. It's in an old house, renovated to a good standard (including a lift) but in keeping with the style of the building and the bedrooms have a rustic charm to them. Our room was spacious and comfortable and we had a balcony which gave onto the sea which was wonderful. We really found our stay in Scilla relaxing and restoring and ate lots of fresh fish and seafood. The only thing I would improve about La Locandiera is the breakfast, which could have more selection on the buffet (cold meats, cheeses, etc). I would definitely recommend it.

Esperienza da dimenticare

Arrivato in albergo stanco del viaggio trovo la porta dell'hotel chiusa e nessuno ad accogliermi. Dopo varie telefonate riesco a rintracciare un anonimo personaggio che mi dice di aspettare perché' qualcuno arriverà. Mi siedo sui gradini di una chiesa antistante l'hotel e dopo circa un'ora di attesa arriva un extracomunitario in ciabatte che mi consegna la camera da me prenotata . All'atto di lasciare l'hotel, l'indomani, convinto di avere saldato il conto con la carta di credito di cui avevo fornito i dati all'atto della prenotazione, mi viene bruscamente detto dall'extracomunitario che io non avevo saldato proprio nulla e che dovevo saldare immediatamente il conto in contanti. Saldo il conto con moneta contante ma non ricevo ne' il resto ne' la ricevuta fiscale. Scappo via perché ho fretta ripromettendomi di non tornare più' da quelle parti. Esperienza pessima, peggiore della mia vita per quanto concerne la frequentazione di alberghi. Rapporto qualità' prezzo molto molto basso

bella posizione ma pessimo il gestore

Pessima esperienza con il gestore: per suo errore ci ha fatto passare la prima notte in una stanza di un altro b&b con meno servizi di quelli prenotati e di dimensioni puffo. No spazio per aprire la valigia, no bidet, cassetta del wc rotta, doccia minuscola. Pare sia errore ricorrente. Il giorno dopo trasloco nella stanza prenotata solo alle 13:30 (disagi vari non compensati dal gestore) abbiamo finalmente traslocato nella stanza prenotata. nuova stanza spaziosa, ma il bagno sempre piccolo, senza bidet, con asse e doccia rotti. Molto bella la posizione in pieno borgo dei pescatori ma anche molto rumorosa. Non presente l'ascensore, scaletta minuscola per raggiungere le camere. Lunghe attese per le api calesse per il trasporto dei bagagli al parcheggio più vicino (a pagamento). Nessuna convenzione con lidi. Non presente la Wi-Fi anche se dichiarata presente. Colazione varia ma di scarsa qualità. Pulito.

Хороший удобно расположенный отель. Посередине между двумя пляжами Шиллы. Кондиционер, большие номера. Вокруг много ресторанов, баров. Особенности: 1. Ресепшена в отеле нет, он в La Locanderia (вверх по лестнице на соседней улице) 2. Завтрак также в La Locanderia. К отелю есть 2 замечания: 1. Мини-кухня есть не во всех номерах. Как минимум, в одном номере её нет. 2. Не было доступа в интернет. WiFi был, но присутствовали проблемы с WAN портом на роутере. Приходилось пользоваться интернетом за завтраком в La Locanderia По местоположению. Не надейтесь спать с открытым окном, особенно в высокий сезон. Вечером шумно из-за кафе и ресторанов, утром примерно в 5 по узкой улице начинают ездить мотороллеры, в районе 6 - коммунальные машины. С закрытым окном и включенным кондиционером вполне терпимо. А так - замечательное, очень красивое и самобытное место.

Chambre un peu chère. Service bagages payant et wifi qui ne fonctionnait pas. Apéro de bienvenue payant....un peu décevant. Par contre jolie chambre, bien située dans le secteur piéton.
