"Knowing that we were in town for our son's wedding, the manager upgraded us to an efficiency apartment that was available during our stay, at no additional charge. The staff was friendly and helpful. The biggest issue we had (which was not the Sea Lion's fault) was that Internet access was very unreliable."

"The Castle Manor Inn is a charming, family-owned property in a beautiful location with a gorgeous view of the Anasquam River. I had a last minute booking and got the last available room in the motel extension. At first I was disappointed not to get to stay in the beautiful Victorian house, but the motel is perched above the river and had a lovely view from the room and a private, covered area to sit outside and enjoy a beautiful summer evening with the sounds of birds and spring peepers, so the motel has its advantages! The AC kept the room nice and cool, and I was able to walk down to a restaurant on the marina for a wonderful seafood meal. The owner was so kind and friendly and gave me great local recommendations. It felt good to stay in a family-owned establishment where the owners take great pride in their inn and their community and genuinely enjoy interacting with their guests. The price was reasonable even as a last minute booking in the busy season. A great placed to stay all around!"

"What an amazing property to stay at with the family. It’s a 3 minute drive to Good Harbor, lots of space for the kids to roam freely, we couldn’t have asked for a better spot for all four families to stay! Kitchen is fully stocked with just about whatever you could possibly need to stay in and cook, great breeze to fill the rooms and the game room kept the kids busy! Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful home with us, we hope to come back in the future."

"My best friend and I traveled to Gloucester to spend a long weekend with my son and DIL. What a FANTASTIC location. So easy to get around and always had 2 parking spots. We were so fortunate to learn our trip lined up with St Peter's Festival. We never heard of it but it was a lot of fun! We went in Cape Ann Whale Watching Tour and saw SO many humpback whales, highly recommend them! Spent an afternoon in rockport at bearskin neck. A very quaint and interesting place for little shops and restaurants. Seeing Eastern Point lighthouse and walked by the 1/2 mile water break is a must. Signs say private roads but they are not, just keep following your GPS! Great food at the Causeway and right down the road at The Lobster, walking distance. Absolutely a great location to stay. Linda is very nice, the place is clean, rooms are comfy and she has a beautiful backyard!"

"The room was exactly like the picture. Overall it was a very good experience. There’s no interactions with staff because everything is done online from checking in, paying for parking, upgrades if you decide to add and right down to checking out. No waiting in line. Many cute shops and restaurants are nearby."
