The staff were very pleasant and helpful. We arrived at night after a very long day of travel. Daniela was gracious enough to let us store our bags in the office before we went upstairs so that we could get a bite to eat before the restaurant closed. The bed was comfortable. The room was compact, but very intelligently laid out. The breakfast buffet, though not included in the price of the room, was excellent. The train station was just a block away, as was the charming Old Town of Schaffhausen. We were very pleased with our stay.

Great hotel.

Great modern hotel. The rooms are spacious and modern and comfortable. Beds are comfortable, great lighting. Good location. Restaurant has great food, breakfast is great. Great service. Only thing that is missing is free parking.

Well, if you want to visit Schaffhausen, and who wouldn't, this is certainly the place to stay if you are either driving on coming by train. The parking is next door, as is the station. Room was large, clean and comfortable and the hotel's restaurant/bar really nice. It is convenient to everything, and walking distance to all you would want to see. A fantastic place to visit and to stay. Would highly recomment do anyone.

The Vienna House is an average European style of hotel, pretty small rooms, tight bathroom space, but friendly staff and clean rooms. There are opportunities to do better with keeping the restaurant and bar open on Sunday evening and providing more attention to room service/cleaning.

Excellent location, right next to the train station, and the old town. Many eateries and shops. Nice reception staff, we managed to get an early check in. Linked to the basement carpark. We stayed in a suite (sofa bed opens up for 2 kids) and the room is big and well appointed. Only issue was lack of proper curtains at the sofa bed side. Overall a great place to stay for a visit to the area.

Above and beyond

Check-in was quick. The room was comfortable and clean. I did not use any facilities. The staff were exceptional, helpful, and patient with a problem that I had, which they resolved. I will be back to stay on my next visit. Big thanks to Sara and Joana.

4 adults family holiday with elderly parents - stayed in 2x Superior Double Room for 3 nights during the week. Reassuringly there were many locals staying for their business trips. Conveniently located next to Schaffhausen Bahnhof, there are frequent trains to Zurich Airport that takes 40-50 minutes. Town centre is within 5 minutes walking distance with plenty of shops, restaurants and cafes. There's a Migros with Migros Restaurant on the opposite side of SH Bahnhof where we had our breakfast as we didn't choose the hotel's add-on breakfast. Despite its proximity to SH Bahnhof it wasn't noisy. The rooms were modern, bright, clean and spacious. The windows can be opened for fresh air which proved useful as one of our rooms' air-conditioning and fridge didn't work. We reported the issue quite late and the conciege advised us that the engineers were off site and could only repair it the next day which was already our check-out day. I would recommend staying at Vienna House if visiting & sightseeing in & around SH, the Rheinfall, Winterthur or Zurich.
