"The modern hotel itself is a great facility set in a modern library setting with a variety of interesting books free to peruse. The two outstanding problems with this hotel are (1) access by public transportation is very limited, forcing the guests to hire a taxi to convenient nearby train stations such as Tokorozawa station costing 2,400-2,600 yen each way, and (2) the breakfast purchased optionally is practically the same throughout your stay—three different kinds of sandwiches. "Definitely a great place to stay if you are visiting Kawagoe with its historic 'Edo Town', as the nearest station (Matoba) is just two stops away. The very kind owner/host offers a comfortable place to stay with excellent hospitality and flexibility for not just solo travellers but couples and even small groups. The location is just a short walk from the station with plenty of shops nearby to meet your short-term shopping needs. The spacious room with the basic furnishings proved to be a great...

"The staff was nice but the facility is old and moldy everywhere. We couldn’t find any other hotels that were available to we stayed but I don’t think I would stay there again because of how old and moldy it was. "

"We chose this hotel for the location. It is definitely in the middle of everything in shinjuku. We chose to book thru expedia for safety of mind in case we needed to cancel.
The lobby is on the 8th floor, so there will always be 2 elevators to enter or exit.
The elevators for the rest of the hotel are split and you don't really have to wait long.
Check in, check out, instructions and help to find a company to fix my glasses, laundry - all were dealt with very professionally and friendly.
the room was pretty spacious, separate toilet room, show room and the sink is outside.
We faced the Tokyu Kabukicho tower, and the quad below, where events were held often and we could hear some of it, and they quieted down by 10pm. There is a starbucks in that tower. The screen on that building also shuts off by 10.
Within the hotel tower there are many shows, including a very nice sushi joint.
It is extremely walkable to shinjuku station and lots of other parts of town.

"We had a great experience at this hotel. Shinjuku station was a bit of a walk, but not terrible. Some of the hotel reviews mention hot rooms. Ours was the opposite. It was very very cold and the only other option was off, and then it would be stuffy.
In all, it was a great stay for the price and I would recommend the hotel to any of my friends. "
"The hotel was nice and clean and there were restaurants around the area. The staff were friendly and accommodating. It would have been perfect if there was a fitness center."
"I stayed 5 total days, the room is small...but it works if your trip is short and you don't have a large suitcase. It's located about 15 minutes from Shinjuku Main Station, and 5-minute walk from Higashi-Shinjuku Station. Lots of food options, and close to the heart of Shinjuku. Great for a solo traveler/couple.
