Property is in an excellent quiet location. It's location means it is easy to get to various Suffolk beaches. The property has everything that you would require for your stay. It is very clean, roomy and has good cooking facilities.. Our host was very good at communicating with us and gave us plenty of ideas of places to visit.
Location of the property is stunning. So quiet and peaceful. Waking up to seeing hay bales and grouses was delightful. Owner is very helpful and corporative. Hilda and Frank were so lovely, very friendly and welcoming. We loved walking along the foot paths in the area. Highly recommend to anyone.
The property was very well located for our cycling holiday The facilities were excellent and very clean
The property is close to several local places to visit including Southwold
We enjoyed our stay so much we are planning to revisit in 2025
The little cottage was perfectly located for our day trips, the cottage was in a very peaceful location.
Overall this property was ideal for the rest and relaxation after a busy day.
Lovely cottage in a wonderful location. Booking was easy and Caroline very communicative throughout the process. Really enjoyed our stay here and will be looking to book again. Brilliant location for exploring the area.
We were very happy to spend a few days in this immaculately clean and cosy cottage, in such a peaceful rural location. Everything that we might need was provided and we were made welcome by the friendly family owners.
Lovely clean and comfortable base for us while visiting family. As always a lovely area and the location of the cottage was lovely and peaceful while still close to ammenties. Hosts were a pleasure to deal with and very welcoming and thoughtful. Lovely stay.
Comfortable period cottage in delightful quiet location
The cottage was very well presented with all facilities we expected and the location next to the old farmhouse was wonderfully rural and quiet. Saxmundham with shops etc is a short drive, and there are many other lovely places in the area.
Perfect little cottage for my friend and I to stay whilst meeting another friend. Very welcome "welcome" pack and everything just right for us. Perfect location for visiting various places in the area. Nice to chat to Frank and Hilda and get the history of the farm. Lovely listening to the birdsong and the weather was perfect. Thank you so much
Really nice experience in booking and pre- information. The cottage is annexed to a main farm house and sits in the grounds of an old farm. It's really secluded and beautiful place to stay. It's really close to RSPB Minsmere where we spent much of our 3 day stay and close to Southwold which is a well worth spending time. The cottage is very clean, spacious and good amenities, I would highly recommend
A wonderful cosy cottage in a rural location with everything you need for a perfect weeks holiday.
Caroline was a superb host and made our stay very memorable.
We hope to return soon.
Thank you for everything.
Such a peaceful and tranquil place to stay but near to so many lovely places to spend the day. The cottage really does have everything you can think of & is spotlessly clean. We had some lovely days out and excellent meals at nearby towns. Perfect stay with friends. 5⭐️
A lovely place - the sort of house and garden you might see on Springwatch. Rubblestone Cottage adjoins the main farmhouse, and is a completely self-contained place with 2 bedrooms, bathroom, lounge and kitchen. Spotlessly clean, well appointed kitchen with everything you need for a stay - and a really nice welcome from Caroline, with fresh milk in fridge and biscuits on the table when we arrived. The house is only 10 minutes drive from Saxmundham, but feels like a world away - all you can hear is birds, insects and now and again a very distant train. Amazing to sit on the front patio, overlooking hay meadows, listening to grasshoppers and watching green woodpeckers and other wildlife in the garden. Perfectly placed for Dunwich, RSPB Minsmere, Southwold, Aldburgh and Walberswick. Definitely somewhere we'd like to visit again. Thanks for a great stay Caroline!
The property was perfect for our needs and set in beautiful surroundings with not a streetlight or siren around - no pollution of any kind. The sun shone on the patio every morning even on duller and windy days! The local town, a short drive away, had everything we wanted including a railway station. Lots of pretty villages in the surrounding area and everyone was very friendly.
My family and I had the most wonderful stay for 2 nights. We wished it could have been longer.
The house is lovely, quaint, clean and quiet. We really enjoyed the quietness of the area and lack of road noise. There is very little light pollution so the skies at night were spectacular. There are beautiful old trees and a fantastic meadow in front of the property teaming with butterflies.
The owners are really lovely and couldn’t have done more to make our stay better.. thank you so much. We’ll be back!
The property was perfect and exactly as described. Clean and comfortable.
The location was beautiful and quiet, within good distance of local beaches. The town near by was about 10 minutes max drive and had everything we needed.
The hosts communication and the information provided to us before our stay was exemplary. The host went over and above to go out of her way to help me with an issue I had (OF MY OWN CAUSING).
Couldn't recommend more. I will definitely be returning with my family.
We really enjoyed our stay at Rubblestone Cottage.
The cottage was warm and comfortable, with everything we needed. A cosy living room with a window that looks over the meadow, which allows you to watch the visiting wildlife.
Main bedroom was very spacious and the bed was comfortable.
The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare food and the owner provides a great list of pubs, restaurants and takeaways.
The lighting through out is well placed and there are some strategically placed night lights that are really useful.
The communication , before, during and after our visit was superb. Directions to the property in particular were very good.
Nice to meet the owners during our stay as this doesnt seem to happen as often these days.
Internet and phone signal were excellent.
The peaceful location was perfect and yet close to Saxmundham and the coast.
Would not hesitate to stay there again.
