The property is clean, and very comfortable. The view of the water is restful and never tiring. It's an easy walk to downtown and great road bike from the house.
We loved our stay at Harrison House! Teresa was an excellent, attentive, and gracious host. The place was quiet, clean, and surrounded by beautiful views--everything we were looking for! Relaxing and refreshing. We could easily walk to downtown Sausalito for food, drinks, strolling, and shopping. We were also close enough to San Francisco that we did not have to deal with the noise and hustle of a big city. Harrison House is superb on every level.
This property was just perfect for my husband and I. It was centrally located in Sausalito. If you don’t mind climbing some stairs and a few hills, it’s right in the center of town. We had a wonderful week exploring the wonders of Marin. Teresa answered all of our questions and provided wonderful goodies for our stay. The apartment has a full kitchen with anything you might need. The bed was comfortable as was the well equipped bathroom. If you’re considering this property, don’t be intimidated by the parking. In addition to the driveway, you can also just park on the street. We would happily stay at this property again.
We had a great 10-day stay and Teresa is a warm host with great communication. The apartment is very clean and has an open feel to it. Great view from the livingroom, including the bay and a young coastal redwood. The kitchen is well equipped and has easy workspace for cooking. The beds are comfortable. The soaking tub is a bonus. Our favorite walking route to the boardwalk was down the stairs path, called Excelsior, about 100 ft from the front door. It is centrally located for lots of exploring and hiking. We were sad to leave and would book here again.
This is our second stay at Harrison House, about a year apart. Again we appreciated its comfortable, quiet, picturesque, elevated position above Sausalito, yet accessible for an aerobic 400m walk to waterfront San Francisco Bay and attractive village-like Downtown, with its included: ferry terminal, delis, coffee-spots, quality restaurants and more. The apartment is clean, well presented, with great 'Bay-vista windows, reclining armchairs, airconditioning, optional fresh air, and very well equipped. Our host provided welcoming wine, chocolate, tea and coffee provisions which is an added, delightful touch. Street parking worked well, as there is alternative front and back apartment access to forked roads. It's the type of place to which we would return again! Highly recommended!
The host was very attentive, providing us with all the information we needed before the check in. The kitchen was well-stocked with everything we could need, and the bed and the linens were very comfortable. But the best thing is the location, Sausalito.
Dear future guests of the charming Artist’s Zen Retreat. The name describes this cozy nest perfectly.Teresa is warm very attentive to details and very open and communicative. My stay was peaceful and restorative I hope you will enjoy as much as I did
This place is ideally located on a nice quiet street, with a 5 minute walk to restaurants and shops. The home was clean and inviting upon our arrival. The kitchen is well stocked with glasses, dishes and cutlery. We really appreciated the great communication with Teresa who checked in with us to make sure everything was in order. Before our arrival, she gave us a number or restaurant suggestions which we used to make our various reservations.
We had a lovely week in this apartment. Teresa has everything a person needs to enjoy their stay. It is nicely decorated and charming. Nice views. Just a note that their are stairs.
Gracious host. Very attentive. Had problem with heat thermostat not working but it was fixed the next day. 4 ceiling lights not working but it was not a big dealWonderful unit. Great view. Great location Highly recommend it

Great space!
Great place and a great location. Clean, comfortable, and quiet. Stayed here for a business trip. Great kitchen. Parking! And a short walk to downtown Sausalito. Hope to stay again!
Many very good qualities. Quite responsive when needed. And only real downside is the lack of one comprehensive set of instructions about appliances etc. would have obviated the need for calls. Overall a very positive experience.

The best of Sausalito
I stayed from mid-March - April and absolutely loved it. The unit is located on the first floor of a 2 story walk up that houses 4 units. The unit has beautiful views of the bay and is a quick 7 minute walk down to the ferry, which takes you to San Francisco. I worked in the city so I took the ferry almost everyday.
The entire unit was also nicely finished and furnished. We cooked dinner many nights with the high end appliances.
Overall, the place felt like home from the moment we walked in. Irma and Teresa were extremely responsive and helpful if we needed anything. We hope to go back one day!
Simply Magical! An Unforgettable Stay! From the moment we stepped through the door, we were completely enchanted by Teresa’s space. It was immaculately clean and beautifully decorated. Every detail reflected thoughtfulness and genuine care. The welcome basket and the clear, helpful instructions set the tone for what turned out to be a truly memorable experience. My wife and I felt cared for in a way that far exceeded our expectations. And Teresa herself. What an exceptional host. Her kindness, attentiveness, and generosity made us feel genuinely welcomed and completely at ease. She goes above and beyond in every possible way. The location was perfect. Peaceful and private, yet close to a variety of charming hidden gems. And the view? Breathtaking. It was calming, rejuvenating, and something we’ll always carry with us. If this place is available, do yourself a favour and book it right away. Experiences like this are rare. We left feeling refreshed, inspired, and deeply grateful. Thank you, Teresa, from the bottom of our hearts. Your care and hospitality made this so much more than just a stay. It was an experience we’ll never forget.

December in Sausalito
What a great five days in Sausalito California! The rental property was a perfect cozy place for us! Loved waking up and walking to the large picture window to take in the views of the waterfront. For 2 adults it was the perfect size, giving us plenty of space to enjoy a couple of prepared meals, enjoy wine in front of the fireplace, and take in the sunrise views with gifted coffee and pastries from the owner. The home was well furnished, well lit, very clean with a generously equipped kitchen. We were very comfortable the moment we arrived. The bathrooms were modern and spacious with plush robes which were a morning ritual. Having the washer and dryer was a luxury and is a must for any rental we book. The welcome basket was devoured especially those early-mornings that we took off for early acting like tourists and needed a yummy pastry.
If you don't know Sausalito be prepared to encounter steep hills in the residential area. parking was s little steep, but we didn't have to park in the narrow street. If we had rented a large SUV that may have been more challenging. We would definitely recommend this rental for a couple or a family with small children or 1 child. We didn't notice the second bedroom having a lot storage for belongings.
Would highly recommend this rental, the owners have done an excellent job keeping it very well maintained as well as providing a coziness to make you feel very much at home.
Harrison House could not have been lovelier. My stay was part of some unfortunate circumstances, and although I would have preferred to have been in my own home, Harrison House was as perfect an alternative as could be. The view is beautiful and the neighborhood charming and quiet. The owner has made this place homey and inviting without giving the feeling that you're invading somebody else's space, with details from the stones loving placed under the bathroom window to the comfy chair in the perfect phone spot. I found everything I needed (scissors! tape! Ziploc bags!). It was the home away from home that I needed.

Lovely Nest on the Hill
The Harrison House was a perfect place to stay and take in the true atmosphere of Sausalito living. The two bedroom two bath unit is small but incredibly comfortable and efficient. The partial bird’s eye view of the bay was wondrously beautiful. It’s all part of the calming effect the Love Nest exudes. The town center and ferry landing are down the hill, a number of flights of stairs, but the small hike is rewarding with Great Expectation surroundings of shrubbery, plants and flowers back-dropped by small churches, large residences, and sneak peeks at the water and finely groomed park below. All this and a fully equipped gourmet kitchen, with a welcoming basket of goodies that were the best we’ve ever experienced. This left not only the finest taste on the tongue but like all of Harrison House—the most aromatic of memories. We’d like to extend our deepest appreciation to our most gracious host.

except for sketchy phone reception, place has everything you could possibly need. Great location!
Very nice neighborhood and building. Quiet, safe, lovely view. Fabulous location. Though we were mostly out early and back to sleep, we thoroughly enjoyed it. Linens were wonderful. 2nd bedroom is quite small but still worked for us. We were here to help with a new grand baby so didn’t spend a lot of time in the unit but quite nice place.
Washer and dryer a plus though we didn’t have to use it. Kitchen seemed to have everything necessary though we only used it for morning coffee and tea. Lovely stay!

Just a heavenly experience!
I hardly know where to start. We came from Canada to the San Francisco area for two weeks to see and experience places and sights that had been on our bucket list for years. Whatever made us choose the Sausalito community for our home base was our first stroke of brilliance! Our second stroke was booking Harrison House. What a cozy, comfortable place to call home with all of its charming decor and useful amenities. This condo is truly a winner with its awesome location up a few winding streets (or the formidable staircase to and from the waterfront, if you are on foot!) and the spectacular views of the bay and the city of San Francisco in the distance. We were lacking for nothing in the condo, thanks to careful and thoughful efforts by everyone involved and in fact were greeted on arrival with a generous welcome basket of lovely treats as well as fresh cut flowers. This was such a nice touch!
If I were to suggest anything to future guests, it would only be to bring your own alarm clock! Everything else is there for you.
Once again, many thanks to Teresa and her helpers for making our stay at Harrison House so delightful and our visit to this breathtakingly beautiful area a memory to cherish!

Charming quaint retreat that felt like home.
Clean and comfortable. Close proximity to Sausalito and San Francisco. Irma was a pleasure to deal with and responsive and helpful during our stay. You are quickly made to feel welcome and the basket of 'goodies' were very much appreciated. The views of the Bay were magnificent while having our morning coffee. Would highly recommend to others and hope to come back again next year. Thanks Teresa and Irma !!
