"propriété surement très étudiée pour la belle saison, nous, nous sommes rentres dans une maison très froide et longue a réchauffer. Il n'a pas été signalé qu'il y avait 2 marches descendantes pour entrer, 3 montantes pour aller aux toilettes et un escalier en colimasson très étroit pour rejoindre les chambres. Avec mon mari et mon chien âgés ... pas simple "

"As advertised, this is a traditional Charentais village home with original features and sympathetic contemporary additions in a lovely quiet hamlet overlooking a vineyard. We slept very comfortably and enjoyed breakfasts on the East facing terrace. The weather was a little variable during our 12 night stay, so evening meals were split between the very practical kitchen dining space and the terrace, with sundowners in the garden by the fishpond. We enjoyed the company of bats in the evenings and Hoopoes in the mornings and some wonderful sunsets from the kitchen window. Everything we needed for cooking and dining was provided. Location was perfect for access to the Cote Sauvage beaches, we particularly recommend La Plage de la Bouverie just North of La Palmyre, and the Super U supermarket at Saujon is the best in the area and just a few minutes from the gîte.Overall a very enjoyable stay and excellent value."
