When is the best time to go to Saudade?

The best time to go to Saudade, Minas Gerais, Brazil, is during the dry season, which runs from April to September. This period offers pleasant weather conditions, making it ideal for exploring the region. During these months, you can expect cooler temperatures and less humidity compared to the rainy season. This allows for comfortable outdoor activities, such as exploring the historic town centre, visiting local coffee plantations, and enjoying the natural beauty of the surrounding mountains. The clear skies are also great for photography and enjoying the scenic views. For those interested in cultural events, the dry season often coincides with local festivals and celebrations.

Transamerica Lagoa dos Ingleses

10/10 Excellent

"Edna the Manager was incredible, her and her staff made our stay very memorable! Cleaning staff was very attentive and friendly. Breakfast was also exceptional! We will be planning our return shortly!"

Pousada Encantos da Serra Macacos

8/10 Good

"Overall it was a good stay. Quiet area inmersed in a green forest. Staff is always up for you. Meals are served for dinner, though very basic. A backroad with helpful signs help choose the right way just in case GPS fails. About ten minutes to the main highway. It seems the property is back for business after some years, however missing overall renovation."

Pousada Villa Severina

10/10 Excellent

"A charming place with kind staffers. Lovely views, good food (but sopas could use more herbs or spices) . The rissoto with mushrooms and fish with alcaparra were delicious! It is on a hillside and, sadly, might be difficult for those with mobility issues. It was about a 45-55 minute drive to Inhotim. I would definitely stay there again!"
