The hotel is beautiful, and the room was huge. They have one of the best walk-in showers I’ve seen, and the location is great. However, they don’t offer room service.

First off, it's very clean and conveniently located right next to the Dotonbori area, offering a wealth of food and nightlife options. Easy access to two or three different subway lines.
Also, the staff is devoted. We had a room that, for some reason, wasn't getting a good wifi signal. It was full of bars everywhere in the hotel, except in our room. We informed the staff, who immediately attempted a few unsuccessful attempts to improve the signal. The next day, a new signal repeater had been installed right outside our door, and we had full bars in our room. An email was in my inbox telling me they had done that. TBH, I thought that was impressively professional.

We really enjoyed our stay at Nohga Hotel Kiyomizu and would return if we find ourselves in Kyoto again. The bakery/coffee shop in the lobby was a real highlight. We also enjoyed the rooftop restaurant, although the time limit was a bit annoying. Would have preferred to stay longer and enjoy more drinks. The hotel was conveniently located to walk to many attractions in Kyoto. Room and bed were comfortable and our room was very spacious.
